Sprint Getting Ready for iPhone 5, Installing Signal Repeaters Around Apple Stores

A recent report from The Wall Street Journal said that Sprint will definitely be getting the next iPhone this Fall. The publication stated that Sprint would begin selling the device in mid-October.

After the report, Sprint told its staff to not discuss the iPhone rumors with customers. The carrier also scheduled a "Strategy Update" event on October 7th, hinting at an iPhone announcement. The carrier's ETF was also raised to $350 — all of this activity pointing towards a partnership with Apple.

Now, the most boldface piece of evidence for the Sprint iPhone has surfaced...

Apple Stores Begin iOS 5 and iCloud Training

Today, in Apple Stores everywhere, Apple began iOS 5 and iCloud training for employees. The training is done through the Daily Download application, which was part of the Apple Store 2.0 upgrade.

What's the significance of this? Apple only launches a new OS with a new iPhone, therefore hinting that the iPhone 5 launch is right around the corner...

Apple Going After New York City Counterfeit Stores

With Apple's unprecedented success in the retail space, it's no wonder that other businesses have tried to emulate. By now you've likely heard of the string of fake Apple Stores that have been springing up over the last few months.

Have you tried Apple's official Apple Store app? It's been available for free in the App Store for months, and it's a great tool for browsing Apple's online store and scheduling appointments at your local Apple retail store.

Apparently, Apple is planning to launch a mobile web app for its online store experience. This web app would presumably be based on HTML5, and it's expected to roll out for users next year.

Until yesterday, I think the entire tech world had written off any chance of Apple's next smartphone supporting a 4G platform. It's a relatively new technology and it doesn't quite have all the bugs ironed out yet — not typically something Apple dabbles in.
