St. Patrick’s Day stickers launch on Instagram

Yesterday was the Saint Patrick’s Day, a cultural and religious celebration held on the traditional death date of Saint Patrick who was the foremost patron saint of Ireland. To celebrate the festivities, Instagram has added a handful of themed stickers which you can plaster all over the photos and videos in your Stories. They’re available in the United States, Ireland, Australia and the United Kingdom through the weekend so go ahead and dazzle your followers with St. Patrick’s Day-themed Stories.

Instagram launches geostickers in Stories

Instagram has aped Snapchat all over again, this time by launching geostickers which I'm sure you know are location-based stickers originally popularized by Snapchat. This cool feature is live in just two cities, for now, but you can bet they'll be aggressively rolling it out in additional markets as rapidly as humanly possible. If you happen to live in Jakarta or New York City, use geofilters to spice up your Instagram Stories with visual accessories representing your present location, down to the neighborhood.

You can now share multiple photos and videos in one Instagram post

Photo-sharing service Instagram announced today that users are now able to share up to ten photos and videos in a single post and swipe through to see them all. Such multi-item posts are presented inline in your feed in a carousel format that displays only the first item of the post.

The first photo or video shows a new icon, denoting there’s more to see. Simply swipe to reveal additional media.

You can adjust the order in which your photos and videos appear, edit them one by one or apply a filter to everything at once. Instagram 10.9 for iOS is required for this functionality.

How to create a Live broadcast on Instagram

Called a Live Broadcast, this feature that Instagram rolled out allows users to share live videos as Instagram stories in real time. Followers can then watch the live stream, submit comments, and Like the video has it is being streamed.

In this post, we will show you how to share a live broadcast on Instagram, and how you can connect with your followers in the process.

Heart Throb lets you favorite pictures in your Photos app with a double tap

You can favorite any of your photographs or screenshots in the stock Photos app on your iPhone to help filter your most-loved memories from the rest. In order to favorite a picture, you normally tap on the heart-shaped button at the bottom of the app.

Heart Throb, on the other hand, is a new free jailbreak tweak that brings Instagram-like favoriting capability to the stock Photos app. With it, you can double-tap on your photograph to “favorite” it.

Instagram enhances Stories with stickers, Save Story option, hands-free shooting & more

Instagram is on a roll: hot on the heels of enabling a bookmarking feature, Boomerang montages, commenting improvements and disappearing media attachments in Direct, the popular photo-sharing service today announced additional features for your Stories. These include regular and holiday-themed stickers, text enhancements, hands-free video mode, the ability to save a Story video to iOS's Camera roll and more.

Instagram passes 600 million users

Aping Snapchat seems to have paid off in a major way for photo-sharing service Instagram as it announced passing a whopping 600 million users earlier today. The last hundred million Instagrammers joined the service in the past six months, said the Facebook-owned company.

Instagram infamously ripped off Snapchat Stories with its own Stories feature, which debuted in early-August.
