1Password for Mac updated with better search, full screen mode, 1Password mini editing and more

To go along with a major 1Password 4.5 update that has brought a brand new iOS 7-friendly look and feel plus a bunch of new features to the popular password-management app for the iPhone and iPad, developer AgileBits this morning unleashed an improved version of 1Password unto the Mac App Store.

Now available half price through Friday (and free to existing users), the new 1Password 4.3 for Mac includes support for the native full screen mode on OS X 10.8.4 or later, contains various search improvements, sports better URL matching, lets you edit items right in 1Password mini and more.

Developer AgileBits today pushed a long expected update to its password-management app for iOS, 1Password. The new 1Password version 4.5 includes an all-new clean design on the iPhone and iPad created with iOS 7 in mind and a couple new features.

Billed as "our biggest free update for iOS ever", the new 1Password includes support for multiple vaults, lets you share items securely using the iOS AirDrop feature, sync vaults via multiple Dropbox accounts and more.

Moreover, you'll enjoy a new unified AutoFill tool found in the in-app browser, a streamlined search field that's always where you need it and other new features, refinements and under-the-hood changes. Existing users can pick up this update free...

Spotify picks up new Repeat One and Your Music features, bug fixes

Following up on a recent Spotify revamp that has painted it black with an all-new look, the Swedish music streaming service has issued another update to its iOS app, bringing out a better way to organize your music, a Repeat One functionality and several bug fixes for a few nasty issues that were introduced in the last release.

Bluelounge Jimi solves an iMac USB problem you might have encountered

Loads of Apple accessories debuted at CES 2014, but one of my favorites was the Jimi by Bluelounge. Simply, "putting your iMac USB port within reach, Jimi is a j-shaped, USB port extension for your iMac to bring your USB port forward, allowing easy access." It is fairly straight forward and, after a pause, genius.

It is rare to so strategically pinpoint little nuances to everyday uses of Apple devices. Bluelounge specializes in these minute details, solving issues we gradually came to accept over time. I resorted to spinning my iMac around each time I wanted to access the USB ports. Square Enix posts new trailer for upcoming ‘Final Fantasy Agito’ game

Great news this morning for all of you Final Fantasy fans. Following the release of Hitman Go last week, Square Enix has posted a new trailer for its upcoming free-to-play game: 'Final Fantasy Agito.' It's going to be an RPG title, made specifically for smartphones and tablets.

The game takes place in Orience, a land divided between four nations in a state of near-constant war: the Fiefdom of Rubrum, the Milites Empire, the Lorican Alliance and the Kingdom of Concordia. The main character is a cadet training as Agito, tasked with preventing destruction...

Aaron Sorkin talks Jobs movie at Tribeca Film Festival

Aaron Sorkin took a moment yesterday to speak about his upcoming Steve Jobs movie. The Academy Award-winning screenwriter was answering questions at New York City's School of Visual Arts for the Tribeca Film Festival last night when the subject of the Sony-backed Jobs film came up.

Sorkin of course avoided talking about the drama that surfaced yesterday surrounding the picture's director and cast, but he did offer up a few details about his script. Some of it we've heard before—such as his goal to do something other than a 'Jobs biography'—but there were a few new tidbits...

Apple Store logos revamped with green leaves for Earth Day

Apple has apparently begun revamping some of its Apple Store logos with green leaves tonight, in honor of Earth Day. The annual event, which falls on April 22nd, is used to promote environmental protection and the overall improvement of the health of the environment, via demonstrations, organized events, and more.

The move shouldn't come as much of a surprise, as we already knew Apple was planning some kind of celebration for Earth Day at select retail locations. We also saw a major PR push from the company yesterday regarding its environmental efforts, including new hardware recycling options and a video with Tim Cook...

Sticky: quickly add a handy sticky note to the Lock screen

Sticky is an upcoming jailbreak tweak that allows you to add a handy sticky note to the Lock screen. It's a tweak that's useful for quickly taking notes that you will need to reference at a later time.

One of the cool things about Sticky is that your notes stay visible on the Lock screen. This makes it so that when you wake your device from sleep, your note is waiting on you to remind you of any tasks.

Samsung expert says Apple should only get $38M for patent infringement, not $2B

The court battle between Apple and Samsung raged on in California today, with Samsung calling a damages expert to the stand. Judith Chevalier, a professor of economics at the Yale University School of Management, testified that if found guilty of infringement, Samsung should only have to pay Apple $38 million.

The figure, which is actually $38.4 million, is miles away from the $2.2 billion number that Apple's damages expert called for last week. Chevalier argued that a reasonable royalty rate for Apple's patents would've been $0.35 per patent, per device, and doesn't think the company should receive damages for lost sales...

Mailbox 2.0 is out with Dropbox syncing for preferences and Auto-swipe

Mailbox users will be happy to hear that the iOS email client received an update today. The release, which brings the app to version 2.0, brings about 'lots of bug fixes and improvements' as well as 2 new features: Dropbox syncing for preferences and Auto-swipe.

While Dropbox syncing for preferences is fairly self-explanatory, Auto-swipe takes some explaining. The feature was first announced by the Mailbox team earlier this month, and its purpose is to learn your in-app behavior in an effort to automate processes...

Apple has seeded OS X 10.9.3 build 13D45a to developers on Monday, following the release of build 13D43 last week.

Apple didn't detail features of the new build, but once again asks developers to focus on Graphics Drivers, Audio, Mail, Contacts and Calendar sync over USB in iTunes, and Safari.

Sony said to be considering Danny Boyle to direct Jobs biopic, Leonardo DiCaprio could star

Sony Pictures is eyeing Danny Boyle as the new director of its Steve Jobs biopic titled "Jobs", after David Fincher decided not to step in the role, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Boyle nor Sony have officially confirmed the news, and the publication reports the deal is not yet done and that both parties are still in talks. Boyle is known for his work in the Slumdog Millionaire and 28 Days Later, among other films.

Furthermore, there's word Boyle has approached Leonardo DiCaprio, of The Great Gatsby and The Wolf of Wall Street fame, to star in the film as Jobs. Let's just hope he doesn't drop as many "F Bombs" as he did in The Wolf of Wall Street...
