How to save your iPhone voicemails to the Voice Memos app

Save your iPhone voicemail to the Voice Memos app

The iOS Phone app makes it easy to save your voicemail to the Voice Memos app. Saving voicemails as voice memos lets you trim the audio before sharing them with others. Plus, the files in the Voice Memos app are automatically uploaded to iCloud and stay safely saved. So, if there is a memorable voicemail, you can keep it forever in iCloud.

In this brief tutorial, we show you how to save your voicemail as an audio note.

AT&T delays public release of Wi-Fi Calling

As reported by Fierce Wireless, U.S. carrier AT&T is delaying a public release of the Wi-Fi Calling feature over the decision to wait for a waiver by The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) that would temporarily relieve the company of having to support options for deaf and hard-of-hearing people.

Attempting to enable the feature on iPhones running iOS 9.0 or later by flipping the Wi-Fi Calling switch in Settings → Phone to the ON position yields a “Wi-Fi Calling is not yet available. It will be coming soon” message.

How to play Apple Music high quality streams on cellular

Apple Music on iOS includes an option to stream your music at high bitrates over a mobile data network at all times. As you know, Apple Music defaults to high-quality streams on Wi-Fi.

With this toggle, you can control your cellular data usage by enabling or disabling high bitrates when streaming or downloading music over your carrier's cellular data network.

The Apple Watch is coming to Target online and retail stores later this month

It's one thing to be featured in Best Buy stores, a retailer that specializes solely in technology. It's a whole another thing to be featured in Target stores, one of the most popular general retailers in the United States.

That's right, later this month, the Apple Watch will go on sale at Target's online store and retail stores. Beginning on October 18th, you'll be able to buy the Apple Watch from Target's online store. Seven days later, on October 25th, you'll be able to walk into any physical Target location and purchase an Apple Watch.

Apple ‘trying to fix’ iPhone roaming charges

The wireless industry has been plagued with a bunch of illogical business practices, most of which were conceived to take advantage of consumers, really. On the other hand, carriers like T-Mobile have successfully exploited the sad state of the U.S. wireless industry to fix some of the most glaring customer pain points.

Apple, too, appears to have vested interest in wrestling power away from the carriers. According to Apple's Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Eddy Cue in the British publication The Evening Standard, the Cupertino firm is now “trying to fix” one of the wireless industry's dirtiest tactics: exorbitant roaming charges.

The SuperCase iPhone 6s armband makes your runs a bit safer

Now that the days are getting shorter, your morning run (or evening jog) might take place while the streetlights are still on. You could carry a flashlight, or wear a headlamp, or you could let your iPhone keep you safe.

The SuperCase armband holds your iPhone 6s securely on you arm while providing a bit of nighttime protection in the form of a reflective strip to make drivers aware of your position.

Tweetbot 4 launches with iPad and landscape support, Statistics, Activity and more

At long last, Tapbots' widely expected update to Tweetbot, its popular mobile Twitter client, has gracefully landed on the App Store. Twitter 3 for iPhone, which was last updated in July 2015, and Twitter for iPad, an outdated app that saw its last refresh back in June 2014, are no longer available for download in the App Store. Replacing them is Tweetbot 4, a universal app supporting any iPhone, iPod touch and iPad with iOS 9.0 or later.

Tweetbot 4 packs a bevy of new features like Quick Reply from notification banners, landscape support, revamped profile views, split-screen multitasking on iPads, Activity and Statistics analysis and much more.

Tweetbot 4 is a $4.99 download for both new and existing customers.

Review: Spigen Slim Armor Volt wireless charging case

In addition to Spigen's GLAS.tR SLIM screen protector, I've been using its Slim Armor Volt wireless charging case for my iPhone 6s Plus. Spigen sent me a care package filled with a boatload of cases, and this one was by far the most intriguing to me.

There are a good number of Android phones that feature wireless charging capabilities out of the box, but there has never been such a feature for the iPhone. Instead, iOS users will need to opt for some sort of third-party wireless charging case solution, and the Spigen Slim Armor Volt fits the bill.

How well does it work? Watch our full video review and see for yourself.

Review: CiderTV doubles as gesture-rich Apple TV remote and volume control for your television

I was researching software remotes for the Apple TV the other day and stumbled upon CiderTV by Aivee Apps. But wait, doesn't Apple's own Remote app for the iPhone and iPad get the job done?

Er, not quite. It's buggy, slow and just a pain in the you-know-what. I want a solution that goes beyond Remote's basic functionality, with features like richer gestures and DLNA volume control for compatible TV sets.

That way, I wouldn't have to constantly juggle between the tiny Apple TV remote and another one for my TV. CiderTV does just that—and then some more—and is available at no charge.

Hit RPG Combo Quest goes free as Apple’s App of the Week

Apple on Thursday named Tapinator's "Combo Quest" its App of the Week for this week. This means that for the next 7 days, you'll be able to grab the popular role playing game for free for both your iPhone and iPad—a nice little savings of $1.

For those unfamiliar with the title, Combo Quest is an epic, time-tap role-playing adventure. You play a knight that must fend off vicious enemies and terrifying beasts on a heroic quest to retrieve the Combo Crown, taken by a mischievous dragon.
