I think it's safe to say that the Auxo jailbreak tweak was a resounding success. As you may remember, it initially started out as a concept posted on The Verge forums. Its designer, Sentry, hooked up with a more than capable developer, and eventually the pair made the concept into a successfully reality.
Well it appears that Sentry is back, this time with a new concept aimed around improving the functionality of Apple's built in Do Not Disturb feature. While Apple may not think that it needs improvement, judging from the advertisement spot it just released showcasing the feature, Sentry believes that he can improve Do Not Disturb by meshing it with Notification Center.
Better Switcher Position is a simple jailbreak tweak that switches the position of the rotation lock button and the music button found in the app switcher. The idea behind the tweaks is that it more closely aligns the volume control slider found in the app switcher, with the music button.
While the position of the app switcher buttons never really dawned on me before, I guess the developer of Better Switcher Position has a point. Take a look at our hands-on video inside to see what I mean.
DismissMyKeyboard is a recently released jailbreak tweak for jailbroken iPhones that allows you to easily dismiss the software keyboard. While the iPad already benefits from such a feature due to the device's larger area of real estate, the iPhone's keyboard has no room for a dedicated dismiss keyboard button like you see on its larger brethren.
DismissMyKeyboard solves this issue by allowing you to perform a swipe gesture right on the keyboard in order to dismiss it. Take a look at our video walkthrough inside to see how it functions.
Two new jailbreak tweaks have recently appeared in Cydia by the same developer, and they both happen to focus on Notification Center. Specifically, these tweaks aim to add handy shortcuts to the Notification Center pull-down pane.
The first tweak on the docket, TorchNC, adds a shortcut to activate the iPhone's LED flash. There are other tweaks and apps that perform flashlight functions, but I always find it useful to have it within Notification Center, or directly on the Lock screen.
The second tweak, like the first, is a shortcut for Notification Center. Instead of interacting with the iPhone's LED flash, InstaSnap is a tweak that allows you to quickly access the camera from within Instagram. Seeing as though this tweak doesn't require the iPhone only LED flash, it works with both the iPhone and iPod touch perfectly fine.
Take a look as we profile both InstaSnap and TorchNC in our walkthrough videos inside...

When someone mentions the name pod2g, likely the first thing that comes to your mind is jailbreaking the iPhone. That, obviously, makes sense, when you consider that pod2g was one of the primary reasons we've been able to jailbreak our iOS device's in the past. His ingenuity provided us with jailbreaks for the iPhone 4S and iPad 3, and many are hoping that he can work his same magic on the iPhone 5 along with iOS 6.
But cast aside those thoughts of jailbreaking for a moment. Forget the hacks, apps, and tweaks that we're benefitted with because of pod2g's hard work. Instead, try to focus on the legendary hacker's latest endeavor. Admittedly, it's a bit of a departure from the norm, but pod2g has created an official app that he's currently selling on Apple's App Store.
While pod2g, known amongst family and friends as Cyril, isn't the first known hacker to release an official app to Apple's ecosystem, he is by far the most prominent member of the jailbreak community to do so. And the thing is, this isn't just some random app that people will buy only because of the developer behind the project. No, this is a legitimate attempt that's been well coded and well designed, and it should sell on merit alone.
As you've already seen from our previous post, podDJ is the name of the app, and it's an iPad release that allows you to DJ directly from your device. Of course, we've gone hands-on with podDJ on video, so be sure to check inside for the full synopsis...

iOS hacker Planetbeing posted on Reddit earlier today about the status of the iPhone 5/iOS 6 untethered jailbreak. While there have been many messages regarding the viability of a jailbreak, the famous iOS hacker insists that it's only a matter of time before a jailbreak is a reality.
In other words, we need to be patient while the guys who have proven themselves time and time again put in work...

A few days ago we showed you how to add a custom carrier logo to a non-jailbroken cellular iOS device. The app to enable the hack — CarrierEditor — is a Mac only app, so only Mac users were able to take advantage of the feature.
Now it's your turn, Microsoft faithful, as developer Dany Lisiansky steps up to the plate to provide a custom carrier logo solution for Windows users
If you read our original post on CarrierEditor, then you'll be happy to note that the process for adding a custom carrier logo using a Windows machine is virtually the same as it is on the Mac. Take a look inside as we break down the entire process in our full video walkthrough...
