Masks are now common place, and that means Apple's reliance on a facial recognition biometric system for its iPhone lineup has proven slightly more tedious than it should be. However, Apple did make a workaround -- but only if you use an Apple Watch. Now, according to a new rumor, Apple's working on something a bit more straightforward.

In the near future, Apple is more than likely going to host an early September media event to show off a range of new devices. While most of the attention will obviously be put on the new iPhone lineup, that's not all we're going to see if the rumors pan out. For instance, we're probably going to get a new Apple Watch --the oft-rumored Apple Watch Series 7-- and Apple may welcome brand new sizes to the lineup.

In May of this year, it was confirmed that Apple TV+ had secured the premiere for the upcoming drama The Drama of Macbeth from director and writer Joel Coen (No Country for Old Men, Hail, Caesar!), based on the original play written by William Shakespeare. At the time, Apple confirmed that it was once again tapping into its partnership with production outfit A24 to bring the film to not only the small screen via Apple TV+, but also some big screens, too.

Earlier this month, a report revealed that some higher-ups at Apple have been putting in a concerted effort to shut down internal, informal employee surveys that are being distributed throughout the company. In that report, the focal point was a survey that was being distributed trying to shed more details on the salaries of those working for Apple. Some employees believe there is pay inequality within the company, despite Apple's claims to the contrary.

Ted Lasso can be described in a lot of different ways, like the fact the Apple TV+ series is aggressively optimistic. Which means to say that while there are plenty of jokes thrown around in the writing, nothing about the show is particularly "scathing." Especially not when it comes to real-world celebrities -- or the football clubs they might own. But apparently the comedy crossed the line in a recent episode, and now Ryan Reynolds (Deadpool, Free Guy) and Rob McElhenney (Mythic Quest, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) are looking for compensation.
