Stitch, a new casual puzzle game from the makers of Lumen and Tint, has launched on Apple Arcade across the iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple TV devices.
Stitch is a new Apple Arcade game about the art of embroidering
Created by the same developer that brought you the Apple Arcade puzzlers Tint and Lumen, Stitch is also classified as a casual puzzle game. Featuring embroidery on a numbered grid, Stitch has you filling in the areas without gaps to complete more than fifty hoops of various difficulties and sizes.
It sounds like fun and it is! There are thousands of levels to choose from, whether you prefer stitching up landscapes, plants, animals, objects and so on. Just pick the preferred pattern, size and hoop category to get started.
“Like any other form of art, hand embroidery brings you a peaceful, calming and inspiring experience,” reads the description. “Developed in-house, the realistic embroidery engine helps you enjoy the feel of playing with the real embroidery thread on your device.”
You can share completed hoops and discover new ones weekly. Completing challenges won’t just earn you points but also the ability to upgrade in tiers.
Accessibility features in Stitch
Stitch even supports accessibility features to help color blindness or the visually impaired. For instance, the Number Outlines assistive feature brings sharper outlines for the grid numbers with more contrast.
Those who suffer from motion sickness can use a Reduce Motion feature. And if you can’t discern the grid numbers, Stitch lets you boost font size for better visibility.
You can play Stitch free with an Apple Arcade subscription [App Store link].
How to view a list of upcoming Apple Arcade games
To see a list of upcoming titles, hit the Arcade tab in the App Store and scroll all the way down, then touch See All Games. On the next screen, click Filters to narrow down the list by release date and switch on the option labeled Coming Soon.
Apple may remove some tiles from the catalog due to poor engagement, usually when contracts with their developers expire. Removed games are available to play on the service for two more weeks.
