Welcome back to another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have a mood + health tracker, a task-munching todo app and a handy night light app. And as always, we’ve selected a great new game for you to check out.
Ripple: Mood & Health Tracker
Ripple is a great tool for folks that don’t want to keep a mood journal, but understand there may be benefits to it. It’s not a journal in the typical sense—it asks you to identify how you are currently feeling and what made you feel that way. Then at the end of the week or month, you can zoom out and take a broad look at how things affect your mood.
Task Muncher
On a similar note, here’s a task manager for those who haven’t found their perfect task manager yet. The developer claims Task Muncher will ‘help you develop the habit of getting things done and combat procrastination.’ I don’t see any groundbreaking features here, but the UI is certainly unique enough to differentiate itself from the pack.
Fade Out Night Light
Here’s an interesting utility. Fade Out Night Light is exactly what it sounds like, an app that turns your iPhone into a night light. I think by default a lot of us use our device screens as ambient lighting and this app takes it to the next step with dimmers, timers and color/pattern options.
Word Boxing
I love quick reaction games and word puzzles, and Word Boxing is a combination of both. Essentially you are presented with word puzzles and multiple answer choices, and you must ‘punch’ the correct answer. I know it sounds gimmicky, and it is, but it all comes together in a game that might just improve your knowledge and reaction time.
