iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus could come in two additional colors—white and purple

Apple may bring the new white and purple color finishes to the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models for a total of seven color choices.

Weibo account “Fixed Focus Digital” claims that this year’s iPhone 16 Plus will be available in seven colors, with white and purple joining the existing blue, pink, yellow, green and black color options featured on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models.

The account doesn’t mention anything about the base iPhone 16 model. We think it, too, will come in the same seven colors as its Plus-sized counterpart. Apple offers the same bright color options across non-Pro iPhones, while its Pro-branded models usually come in somewhat boring colors.

As MacRumors notes, this account lacks a track record. Until credible sources and other outlets have corroborated information about potential colors for the standard iPhone 16 models, please take this report with a few pinches of salt.

The rumored iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro features

This year’s iPhone Pros are expected to ditch the current screen sizes for bigger displays. The iPhone 16 Pro should grow from 6.1 to 6.3 inches, while the 6.7-inch iPhone 16 Pro is expected to adopt a 6.9-inch display.

If true, this year’s flagship model will have the biggest screen ever on an iPhone. The rumors also mentioned improved peak brightness for these devices, thinner display bezels, a custom scratch-resistant coating and other improvements.

The iPhone 16 Pros should support Wi-Fi 7 and a adopt 48-megapixel wide camera. The iPhone 16 Pro could get 5x optical zoom via the same tetraprism lens technology exclusively debuted on last year’s flagship iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Meanwhile, the standard iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models should support Wi-Fi 6E and increase the RAM from 6GB to 8GB for improved multitasking.
