Nanoleaf unveils brand’s first dedicated outdoor lights with Matter support, Skylights now available for pre-order

Nanoleaf brings to the table some of the best RGB-capable smart home lighting with HomeKit and Matter support on the market today, and that’s why we’re especially excited about what the brand is unveiling at CES 2024.

At the top of the list of today’s announcements is the introduction of Nanoleaf’s first lighting solution intended solely for outdoor purposes. These announcements posture Nanoleaf to better compete with other smart home lighting brands that have long offered similar solutions.

These offerings include both multi-color string lights that can be dangled from hooks or other anchor points and multi-color permanent outdoor lights.

These lights are made for Matter, which makes them controllable via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi not only with an app that works with Apple’s HomeKit, but also competing smart home services like Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Amazon SmartThings, among others.

These lights integrate seamlessly with other Nanoleaf lights that you might have in your home, which means that you can set up custom lighting scenes and set up automations that fit your lifestyle.

Apart from making the outside of your house look like an RGB gaming computer tower, Nanoleaf’s new outdoor lights can also be used to accentuate your home’s architecture and bring it alive.

But outdoor lights aside, we should also mention that Nanoleaf’s Skylight Smart Modular Ceiling Lights are now officially available for pre-order starting today and should begin shipping to customers in late January.

The Nanoleaf Skylight Smart Modular Ceiling Lights are available starting in a 3-pack for $249.99 for a starter kit that has everything you need to install and use the lights (up to a 12-pack for $747.91), while individual expansion packs with one additional skylight to take advantage of their modularity are available for $69.99.

These cool ceiling-based lights are intended to look and feel like actual skylights, and there are even built-in scenes to mimic the outdoor weather conditions that you’d typically see or experience with real skylights.

And of course, Nanoleaf’s Skylight Smart Modular Ceiling Lights are fully modular (so you can expand your setup) and work with Matter and all the rest of your Nanoleaf lighting accessories.
