This MacDirtyCow & kfd add-on removes the volume cap from EU-based iPhones

Unless you live in the European Union, you might not be aware that iPhones and many other devices sold there have a volume cap that prevents the max volume from reaching what it can in other parts of the world.

Fortunately, iOS developer Constantin is out with a free add-on called Limitless that works with the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits for iOS & iPadOS 15.0-16.1.2 and 16.0-16.6 beta 1 respectively that effectively removes this cap.

People like to remove this volume cap because they want to run their music’s volume at the level they want, not at the level someone else caps it off at. For that reason, add-ons like this are popular not only in jailbreaking, but also now for non-jailbroken devices that are susceptible to the MacDirtyCow and kfd exploits.

As a side note, a jailbreak isn’t required to use Limitless, but it will still run on jailbroken devices as long as they’re running a supported firmware version.

If you’re interested in removing the artificial volume cap on your EU-based iPhone or iPad so that you can get the most of your hardware, then Limitless is available as a free download from the Misaka package manager app.

Anyone who isn’t already taking full advantage of Misaka can follow our detailed walkthrough post to learn how to install and use it.

Are you going to be taking advantage of Limitless, or do you already live in a region where you don’t have to worry about volume limit caps? Let us know in the comments section down below.
