AltStore sideloading app for iOS updated to v1.6.3 with minor bug fixes

The AltStore sideloading app for iPhones and iPads has been updated to version 1.6.3 with a short list of improvements.

AltStore v1.6.3 Update

The AltStore Team announced AltStore version 1.6.3 via Twitter Wednesday afternoon, noting that it would incorporate the following changes for users:

  • Fixed error fetching Friend Zone patrons
  • Fixed incorrect cell height for certain News items

As you can probably tell for yourself, AltStore version 1.6.3 isn’t a major update and doesn’t incorporate any substantial new features, but it does improve the user interface a little bit by addressing graphical bugs affecting News items in the app.

AltStore version 1.6.3 is recommended for all current and prospective users who want the best user experience possible. If you’re already a user, then you can update simply from the OTA update link in the AltStore app, or you can simply re-install it using AltServer on your Mac or PC.

With AltStore, you can install apps that aren’t approved for the App Store onto your iPhone or iPad. This sideloading process requires an Apple ID, and will require that you re-sign installed apps once every seven days to continue using them.
