iOS developer opa334 released an update for the TrollStore perma-signing utility for iPhones and iPads on Saturday, formally bringing the increasingly-popular utility up to version 1.3.5.

Announced just this evening via Twitter, opa334 says that TrollStore version 1.3.5 is perhaps one of the smallest updates to the tool yet, only having changed two lines of code in the entire project. That aside, the update address some bug fixes and is recommended for all users.

Citing the change log, TrollStore version 1.3.5 incorporates the following changes:

  • Fix a bug where TrollStore would display the size of software as the number of times the “Show Details” option is tapped
  • Fix a bug where the update option in settings would inadvertently update to an outdated version of TrollStore in some fringe cases

If you’re already using TrollStore, then you can update to the latest version of the software either by using the OTA (over the air) updating mechanism in the TrollHelper app, or by manually downloading and installing the latest version via the project’s GitHub page.

Anyone who isn’t already using TrollStore and who would like to get started with it can do so by using the step-by-step tutorials below:

TrollStore is a fascinating piece of software for the iPhone and iPad that takes advantage of a CoreTrust bug in iOS & iPadOS 14.0-15.4.1 (and some iOS 15.5 betas) to sideload and permanently trust other .ipa files (apps). TrollStore is a preferred alternative to using sideloading techniques like AltStore or Sideloadly because it signs the apps permanently instead of requiring the user to re-sign those apps every seven days.
