TrollTools is an all-in-one app for TrollStore users who want themes, custom passcode buttons, badge customization, & more…

The wonderful thing about TrollStore is that you can use it to perma-sign apps even on non-jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 15.0-15.4.1 (and some 15.5 beta) devices, and with its elevated privileges, you can install apps to customize the operating system in ways you would otherwise need a jailbreak for.

With a newly released app for TrollStore dubbed TrollTools by iOS developer SourceLocation, you can do things such as the following:

  • Customize app icons without the Shortcuts-esque pop-up affecting app launches
  • Customize the appearance of your passcode buttons
  • Customize the appearance of your Home Screen’s app icon badges

In the demo video embedded above, graciously provided by the developer of TrollTools to show off what the app can do, we see all the different ways that the aforementioned features can be used.

If after seeing TrollTools you feel a tinge of déjà vu, then that would be because we previously showed you a TrollStore app called Mugunghwa by iOS developer Soongyu Kwon that also provided ways to customize the badges and passcode buttons. You may also remember BlizardBoard, which unlocks app icon theming via TrollStore.

TrollTools is an all-in-one solution that the developer claims is both safe and stable in the /r/jailbreak release post. It’s worth noting, however, that the app is only compatible with iOS & iPadOS 15 devices, while Mugunghwa works on iOS & iPadOS 14 as well. However, some haven’t been as lucky getting Mugunghwa’s passcode button customization feature to work properly, for what it’s worth.

Given how TrollTools is a free download, and a safe all-in-one solution, we think it’s definitely worth checking out if you have a TrollStore installation on your iOS or iPadOS 15 device. Their who’d like to give it a try can head over to the GitHub page to learn more about it and/or download it.
