Way back in 2018, it was reported that the Peanuts gang would be finding a new home on Apple TV+. It was a great way for Apple’s fledgling streaming service to snatch up some family-friendly content right out of the gate. And, ever since then, we’ve seen both classic and original content land on the service. And now there’s even more coming.
Apple TV+ has finally shown off the official trailer for the upcoming all-new Peanuts special, Lucy’s School. The new special is set to premiere on Friday, August 12, 2022. It has a pretty straightforward synopsis, with Apple TV+ saying, “When summer ends, the classroom fun begins.”
And the official trailer certainly helps sell that idea.
The whole gang is back for this new special, including Lucy, Charlie Brown, Linus, Snoopy, Woodstock, and the others. Here’s a bit more on the plot of the new special, if you’re interested:
The Peanuts gang is nervous about going to a new school, so Lucy starts her own. She soon learns that teaching is tougher than she thought — and that change can be good thing.
