  • iMazing for macOS version 2.15 is now available as a free upgrade to existing users of the app. There are several new music-focused features available.
  • iMazing now lets you listen to any songs on an iPhone or iPad without leaving the app. That’s because iMazing 2.15 has an all-new internal music player.
  • If you’re looking to install the public beta of iOS 16 when it launches next month, you’ll be pleased to learn that iMazing is already compatible with it.

iMazing now has its own music player

A redesigned Music section in iMazing now provides an integrated music player with which you can listen to songs on your connected iOS device without being yanked to another app. There are other improvements to make transferring and listening to your music easier than before, such as an improved table view, support for album artwork, better playlist management and other tidbits. For the full list of changes to how iMazing handles music, read the company’s blog post.

Does iMazing work on the iOS 16 beta?

Yes, iMazing 2.15 is fully compatible with the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 betas and is also running stable on the macOS Ventura beta. For details about early iOS 16 and macOS Ventura compatibility, read a separate post from iMazing.

iMazing makes iOS device management a cinch

If you plan on installing the iOS 15 public beta next month, you’ll want to back up your iPhone or iPad first. With iMazing, backing up everything locally is a piece of cake. The app supports backup snapshots (different versions over time, similar to Time Machine), which could be perfect for beta use. Your backups can be performed or moved to external media (or NAS) if your computer is low on storage space. You can even set iMazing to run backups automatically in the background, over Wi-Fi or USB. As one of the longest-standing apps for iOS device management, iMazing gives you full control over your iPhone or iPad in terms of copying content to and from a computer, backing up, syncing, browsing backup files and much more. With it, you can transfer and save your music, messages, files and data. If you haven’t checked out this comprehensive iOS device manager yet, now’s your chance.

How to download iMazing

iMazing is available for macOS and Windows. All of the backup features in iMazing are free to use forever, but unlocking advanced functionality requires a one-time license purchase (yup, no subscription required!) via the iMazing store.

There are several tiers available, including a family license which lets you use the app on five different devices. This lets everyone in your household can use iMazing on their own Mac or PC with the same license code. And if you need to extend your existing iMazing license to a new iPhone or iPad, you can easily purchase an additional device pack and keep the same license code.

You can download the app via the official iMazing website.
