Apple Music is now available via Waze

Google owns Waze, but apparently that doesn’t mean an Apple-branded streaming service can’t be made available directly through it. Which is what we have here, today, with the announcement that Waze now features Apple Music baked right in.

Today, Google made the announcement via a blog post. In it, the company says that access to Apple Music is available through “direct connection between the apps,” which is something similar to how Waze works with other music streaming services. Waze has been partnering with audio services for quite some time, so Apple Music integration isn’t completely out of the norm.

Here’s part of the announcement today:

With a direct connection between the apps, you can now access Apple Music content directly from the Waze Audio Player. Enjoy more than 90 million songs, tens of thousands of curated playlists, Apple Music Radio and more while you navigate. We’re thrilled to join forces with Apple Music to bring Apple Music subscribers their tunes while driving with Waze on iPhone.

So, good news for Waze users who like to listen to their music through Apple Music! The integration is available now, so you should see access right now.
