Diablo Immortal for iPhone and iPad drops on June 2

Blizzard has announced that a new title in its Diablo franchise, dubbed Diablo Immortal, will be landing on the App Store on June 2, 2022. The game is being developed by Blizzard and Chinese developer NetEase. It’ll be published by Blizard.

If you’ve ever played any Diablo game, you’ll instantly feel like Diablo Immortal could become one of the biggest releases on the iOS platform. Taking place between the events of Diablo 2 and Diablo 3, Diablo Immortal will include the main story quest, legendary loot and six classes of playable characters to choose from, including classes from previous games like Barbarian, Wizard and Necromancer. The features also include raids in huge ever-changing dungeons, quests and bosses.

Explore the nightmarish realm of Sanctuary like never before, now a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) where angels and demons wage an endless war over dominion of the mortal realm. Join forces with countless other players on an epic quest to collect the shattered fragments of the corrupted Worldstone and prevent the Lord of Terror’s return. Fans of Diablo and new players alike will embark on an adventure across a vast open world where they will clash with armies of demons, collect epic loot and gain unimaginable power.

MMORPGs are games that require equally complex controller schemes so players have been wondering how Diablo Immortal might fare in that regard.

Touch controls in Diablo Immortal

Diablo Immortal provides a peerless MMORPG gaming experience which translates the best PC mechanics into snappy, intuitive controls on your mobile device. Whether you’re on a raid or fighting hordes of demons solo you will always feel at command. Directional controls make it easy to move heroes around the world, and activating a skill is as easy as holding a thumb down on a skill to aim, then releasing it to unleash hell on your foes.

A PC version is also in the works, with an open beta test of a Windows edition of the game launching in June. The Windows beta version will include all of the features and content from the final version of the gamen. The shipping version of the game will support importing your data and progress from the beta version.

How to pre-order Diablo Immortal for iOS

Progress syncing across mobile and desktop versions will be supported. The game will be free to download, so expect in-app purchases. iOS or iPadOS 11 or later is required. If you go to Diablo Immortal’s App Store page [App Store link] and click the Get button, you’ll receive a push notification on your device when the game is ready to download.
