Watch the official trailer for the Apple TV+ bilingual thriller ‘Now and Then’ ahead of its May 20 premiere

Apple TV+ has a few different options when it comes to content with multiple languages spoken throughout. And in April of last year we heard the streaming service was set to add another, a multi-layered thriller called Now and Then. Now, almost one year later, we finally get our first trailer.

Today, Apple TV+ has shared the first official trailer for its upcoming thriller Now and Then. The cast includes Jorge López (Elite), Alicia Jaziz (Vantage Point), Dario Yazbek (The House of Flowers), Alicia Sanz (#RealityHigh), Jack Duarte (Orisha), and Miranda de la Serna (Before Opening Night). The first season is set to premiere on Friday, May 20, 2022. It’s shot in both Spanish and English.

Here’s Apple’s official description of the upcoming drama:

Set in Miami with an all-Hispanic cast, Now and Then explores the differences between youthful aspirations and the reality of adulthood, when the lives of a group of college best friends are forever changed after a celebratory weekend ends up with one of them dead. Now, 20 years later, the remaining five are reluctantly reunited by a threat that puts their seemingly perfect worlds at risk.

And you can check out the official trailer above.

Now and Then is a bilingual series that will be shot in Spanish and English. The series was created by Ramón Campos, Gema R. Neira, and Teresa Fernández-Valdés, the team behind several different Spanish series including Velvet and Cable Girls.

The trailer gives some very distinct I Know What You Did Last Summer vibes, but the story jumping ahead 20 years certainly makes it stand out in its own right. It will be interesting to see how the story unfolds over the course of the first season.

Will you be checking out Now and Then when it starts streaming next month?
