Apple TV+ offers a first look at the upcoming Fraggle Rock revival, ‘Back to the Rock’ ahead of January 21 premiere

Apple TV+ has been working towards bringing back the Fraggle Rock puppets for quite some time. And the wait is almost over, with the revival series about ready to make its debut on the streaming platform. Which means it’s about time for a first look at the upcoming show.

Apple has been sounding the drum on this one for a while now. That’s after the company officially ordered a reboot of the series, while also securing the streaming rights to the older episodes, back in 2020. In November of last year, we heard that the brand new revival series would be called Back to the Rock, and that it would debut in early 2022.

In January, we got our first official trailer for the new series. That particular footage measured in at just over a minute in length, though. Not a lot to go on, even if it did offer up plenty of energy. And it certainly showed off a return to what Fraggle Rock fans should expect from the show.

This time around, though, Apple TV+ is offering up a lot more. With this first look of the upcoming series, it’s over five minutes long. As is par for the course with this sort of thing, we not only get footage of the show itself, but also details from some members of the creative team. This time around that includes executive producers Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford.

That also includes the cast, including Ed Helms, Daveed Diggs, and Cynthia Erivo. Check it out in the video above.

Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock is set to premiere on Apple TV+ January 21, 2022.
