Brain3k, Moderation, DayPic and other apps to check out this weekend

Welcome back to another edition of our Apps of the Week roundup. This week we have some great selections, including an intelligent bookmarker, a minimal food tracker, and an app for taking daily photos. And as always, we’ve selected a great game for you to check out

Brain3K

No it’s not a Neuralink competitor, Brain3K is actually just a bookmarking app. Use it to store websites and other memories, and use its handy tag/notes/metadata system to sift through them. I also like that it uses Apple Sign In and there’s no data harvesting.

Moderation

We’re still kind of in the ‘New Year’s resolution’ part of the year, so here’s a self-improvement app. Moderation is a food diary and weight tracker, and it sets itself apart from the other apps in this space with a sharp and minimalistic UI. I really like the widgets.

DayPic

Have you ever seen one of those daily-pics-for-a-year videos on social media and thought, how do they do that? Well here is one way: DayPic. It has the essential ‘ghost mode’ feature, which allows you to take your photos in the same position every day so they look seamless when put into a slideshow at the end of the year.

Mimelet

I love this game’s App Store description: simple and fun mechanics, cute graphics, and SNES-inspired music. As you can tell from the above screenshots, this is a pretty clear Mario rip-off. And since the original isn’t available in the App Store, I will always have a soft-spot for these.
