Beats Fit Pro vs. AirPods Pro — which ones are a better buy?

Released on November 1, 2021, with a price tag of $199, Beats Fit Pro support active noise cancellation, transparency mode and Apple’s adaptive frequency equalizer feature, just like the pricier and older AirPods Pro. Computational audio is used to tune the low and mid-range tones to match the fit of the earphones in your ear. Again, just like AirPods Pro. Finally, Beats Fit Pro offer up an eye-catching design and secure-fit wingtips that help keep them in place, even when in active use.

Spatial audio with dynamic tracking is supported thanks to Apple’s H1 chip inside each earphone. One-touch pairing, IPX4 sweat and water-resistance and automatic device switching round up the feature set of these Beats earbuds.

When will AirPods Pro 2 launch?

AirPods Pro, as you probably know, are Apple’s highest-end truly wireless earbuds.

Filing as the very first noise-canceling earbuds designed by the iPhone maker, AirPods Pro initially launched on October 30, 2019, with a price tag of $249. Needless to say, AirPods Pro also takes advantage of Apple’s custom headphone chip, the Apple H1 processor, to make possible other advanced features.

Speaking of which, Beats Fit Pro support many of the same features as AirPods Pro like transparency mode, automated EQ profile setting, IPX4 water resistance, spatial audio with dynamic head tracking, zero-configuration pairing via iCloud, automatic device switching and more. Both Beats Fit Pro and AirPods Pro come in a dedicated charging case which in the case of Beats Fit Pro is more plasticky and less premium than the AirPods Pro charging case. So the difference pretty much comes down to your choice of the brand (AirPods or Beats), color, battery life and price—all of which Harris’s video discusses, too.

On a final note, people who are in the market for a pair of wireless earphones should know that Apple is reportedly readying second-generation AirPods Pro, with the rumors indicating fall 2022 as a likely release date.
