Apple TV+ shares official trailer for basketball drama series ‘Swagger’ ahead of October 29 premiere

Apple TV+ has been working with National Basketball Association legend Kevin Durant for years to bring Swager to the streaming service. News initially broke regarding the show way back in 2018. And while there have been some bumps in the road, we are actually nearing the premiere date. And now we have an official trailer.

Today, Apple has shared the official trailer for Swagger, the drama series based on the early life of basketball player Durant. Apple already confirmed that Swagger, which is set to star O’Shea Jackson, Jr. (Den of Thieves), Isaiah Hill —who joined the cast earlier this year–, and Quvenzhané Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) will premiere on October 29, 2021.

The series is based on the experiences lived by Durant, and it will be led by showrunner and creator Reggie Rock Bythewood. The first season will have 10 episodes in its initial run. It will officially premiere on Apple TV+ on Friday, October 29, 2021. The first three episodes will drop on day one, with each subsequent episode set to arrive every Friday after until December 17, 2021. Check out the trailer below.

From today’s description attached to the trailer:

Swagger explores the world of competitive youth basketball, and the players, their families and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption. Off the court, the show reveals what it’s like to grow up in America.

Inspired by Durant’s experiences, “Swagger” explores the world of youth basketball, and the players, their families and coaches who walk the fine line between dreams and ambition, and opportunism and corruption. Off the court, the show reveals what it’s like to grow up in America.

This looks like it could be another solid entry for Apple TV+. Are you going to check it out when the show premieres later this month?
