Apple TV+ series ‘Dickinson’ gets official trailer for its upcoming third and final season

While the anachronistic series Dickinson might not pick up as much attention as other shows, it is one of Apple TV+’s best. Unfortunately, it’s coming to an end soon with the third season. And to drum up attention for the finale, Apple TV has just shared the official trailer for what’s coming.

Apple TV+ today has published the official trailer for the upcoming third season of the series, which will be the show’s last. This is a longer look at what’s to come, after Apple TV+ shared a teaser trailer back in September. This time around, we get just over two minutes of footage, showing off how the series has made a name for itself over the last few years in its anachronistic styling.

Dickinson stars Hailee Steinfeld as the eponymous character. With the third season, Emily Dickinson is in her most creative stretch, but there are some real world issues she must deal with at the same time. That includes the raging Civil War, as well as problems within her own family. As Emily tries to find a way for art to “keep hope alive,” she must also face a brutal question: can the future be better than what’s come before? Here’s the trailer:

When the show’s third season premieres, there will be three episodes made available. There are seven episodes after that, and they’ll be released on a weekly basis, every Friday. Steinfeld returns as Emily, of course. Toby Huss, Adrian Blake Enscoe, Anna Baryshnikov, Ella Hunt, Amanda Warren, Chinaza Uche, and Jane Krakowski are all set to reprise their roles from past seasons as well. Billy Eichner is a newcomer, though, and he’ll be playing Walt Whitman. Chloe Fineman is playing Sylvia Plath this season, while Ziwe is playing Sojourner Truth.

The first three episodes of the third season will premiere on Friday, November 5, 2021. After that, each new episode in the season will premiere on Fridays.
