Say hello to your iPad mini 6
In September 2021 Apple upgraded its iPad mini line of pocketable tablets to some of its best technologies. Like with iPad Air 4, the sixth-generation iPad mini has received an iPad Pro-like treatment when it comes to design. Gone is the old 7.9-inch LCD display with thick borders. In its place is an 8.3-inch panel with much thinner borders, resulting in a bigger canvas and more pixels without enlarging the whole device. Read: iPad mini 6 vs. iPad mini 5 comparison
This also means there’s no iconic Home button with Touch ID. Instead, Apple embedded a fingerprint reader into the power button at the top, a neat solution we first saw on iPad Air 4. You’ll also love some of the tricks the new iPad mini has up its sleeve, like changing the input of its volume buttons based on portrait or landscape orientation.
