Apple TV+ shares official trailer for upcoming docuseries ‘Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson’

Earlier this year, Apple TV+ confirmed that it would be launching a new documentary series about the creation of sound, and the technology that powers that effort. It’s entitled Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson, and, as you can imagine from the title, Ronson will be hosting. Unfortunately at the time, we didn’t have much to go on.

That’s changing today, though. The company has released the first official trailer for the upcoming docuseries. It shares a glimpse of the upcoming six-part series. And the announcement that tagged along with the trailer today also confirmed that the documentary series will premiere on the streaming service July 30, 2021.

Ronson will be looking to discover the “untold stories” of music creation. Ronson will be talking to all sorts of people along the way. The goal? Finding that perfect sound. You can check out the trailer below.

As mentioned above, there will be plenty of interviews to go around. Ronson will be speaking with legends like Questlove, Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Mike D from the Beastie Boys, and many others. Ronson wants to find the artistry in finding that sound, what has made music evolve over the years, and getting there through candid conversations.

Things get even more interesting with the end of each episode. Ronson has not only been a winner of multiple Grammy Awards, but has also won a Golden Globe and an Oscar. He’s a well-renowned DJ. And, he’ll be lending his own creative skills to the docuseries. From the announcement:

At the end of each episode, Ronson will create and unveil a unique piece of original music using groundbreaking technology and techniques including reverb, synth, autotune, drum machines, sampling and distortion.

Watch the Sound with Mark Ronson will premiere on July 30, 2021. Are you planning on checking it out?
