Apple seeds third betas of iOS 14.7, iPadOS 14.7, macOS 11.5 Big Sur, watchOS 7.6, and tvOS 14.7 to developers

Earlier this month, Apple officially unveiled iOS 15 and every other major update coming to the company’s operating systems. However, updates for iOS 14 and other current OS versions aren’t quite finished yet. Today, Apple has seeded the latest betas for iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 11.5 Big Sur, watchOS 7, and tvOS 14.

There were some minor discoveries made after the first beta was seeded, it looks like this update will be minor in terms of new additions. It’s likely that Apple is aiming to smooth out any underlying issues discovered since the public launch of iOS 14.6 earlier this year. If there are additional changes made in this latest beta, we will update this post accordingly.

Developers can download the new betas from Apple’s developer center. iOS 14.7 and iPadOS 14.7 can also be downloaded and installed as an over-the-air (OTA) update on registered devices. It’s likely that Apple will seed a corresponding public beta to those in the public beta ring in the near future.

As far as what’s new, there were at least a couple of new things added. First, the new software supports timer controls for the HomePod from within the Home app. And iOS 14.7 also adds air quality information to more countries within Apple’s stock Weather app.

In addition to that, Apple also seeded the second betas of macOS Big Sur 11.5, watchOS 7.6, and tvOS 14.7 to developers as well.

The latest betas are available now.
