Twelve South’s BookBook vol. 2 wallet case supports MagSafe

The BookBook is one of the most iconic cases out there, and now Twelve South has a new version that supports Apple’s use of magnets.

With the iPhone 12 lineup, Apple reintroduced MagSafe to the world. The feature is designed to offer up a wide range of accessory support, all built around that wireless future Apple is so passionate about. And now Twelve South has embraced that future with the BookBook vol. 2.

The new case is similar in style, which is to be expected. The BookBook makes your iPhone 12 look like a small luxurious leather book — well, except for the back, where there’s a large cutout to allow you to use the cameras with the case installed. The BookBook is a full body case to start, but it’s also a wallet case, offering slots for an I.D. card, bank cards, and even cash.

There’s an interior leather shell that can be easily removed from the full case and wallet combo. It’s this leather shell that actually supports MagSafe, so users can keep the shell in place while they connect other MagSafe accessories. And then, when they want to put their phone back in the BookBook case, installation is quick and simple.

Here are the bullet points from Twelve South:

  • Premium leather, all-in-one iPhone case, wallet and viewing stand
  • Fully removable MagSafe compatible iPhone shell
  • Built-in protective pocket for Apple Card or ID
  • Magnetic tab keeps phone and wallet closed
  • Holds bank cards and cash or receipts

Twelve South also put together a quick video talking about some of their favorite features for the BookBook vol 2.
