The iDownloadBlog Wallpapers of the Week collection is populated with new, photo quality downloads every Sunday. We have been on this mission for more than seven years! Last week, we rounded up the most downloaded wallpapers posted in 2020. This week, we have the top five wallpaper sets that were downloaded in 2020, but not originally published this year. Consider this an all-time-wallpaper downloads top five list, a retrospective!
Top wallpapers in 2020
As we recap the all time downloaded wallpaper packs in 2020, a common theme emerges. Not dissimilar to the top wallpapers posted this year, all of the following wallpaper packs contain some version of an Apple original image.
Most notably, the top visited all time wallpaper post in the past twelve months was surprisingly posted in 2017. The top of the list, is a massive wallpaper pack of original Apple iPhone wallpapers, by @AR72014. The wallpaper pack includes all stock images pre-iOS 8 and they are optimized for current Face ID based iPhone devices. Following, the next sets of wallpapers also date back a few years. Not surprisingly, the top images are also advertising and stock images from previous iPhone devices and iOS releases. Apple really does have an eye for great wallpapers, but they don’t always release the images with the software.

Although the top packs above are all originally from Apple, one of the reasons they are so popular is we launch them before they become available to the public. All of this work is thanks to our wallpaper community. There is an incredible group of digital artists that help contribute to the iDB wallpaper collection and each of them is called out individually in the articles with the image downloads.
