Learn how to customize your Apple TV aerial screen saver by showing or hiding themes like landscape, earth, underwater, or cityscape.
Apple TV supports four screen savers:
- Aerial
- Memories and slideshows from your personal iCloud Photos library, Home Sharing network, or music art
- Portraits from your iCloud Photos, along with a big clock
- Snoopy and Woodstock
Aerial, the default Apple TV screen saver, displays stunning aerial and underwater scenes. You can customize it by showing or hiding specific themes, though no other screen saver style supports themes.
Select one or more screen saver themes for Apple TV
1) Open the Settings app on your Apple TV and select Screen Saver from the main menu.
2) Make sure Aerials is the current screen saver selection. Then, select Aerials under the Screen Saver Preferences heading.
3) Select Choose Aerials.
4) You now have four different themes, each with amazing scenes to choose from.
You can choose to show or hide all screen savers of one or more themes. You can also select an individual screen saver, such as Dubai Creek, and then hide (or show) it. Hidden screen savers have a crossed-out eye icon.
- Underwater: Scenes of undersea aquatic animals and plants.
- Earth: Shots of Earth captured from the International Space Station.
- Cityscape: Views of urban environments and cities.
- Landscape: Views of nature like landforms and rural terrains.
Now go to your Apple TV Home Screen. From here, press the back button again to see your screen saver.
As they say, “Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” So, being able to choose your aerial theme for the Apple TV screen saver is a thoughtful option.
