Apple TV+ shares the official trailer for the animated film ‘Wolfwalkers’ ahead of December 11 debut

Apple has a new animated feature film coming to theaters and Apple TV+ soon, and today it shared the official trailer.

Today, Apple TV+ shared the official trailer for Wolfwalkers, an animated feature film telling the tale of a “lost Irish legend”. Developed by Cartoon Saloon, they initially shared a concept trailer for the film way back in 2017, so it’s been in the works for quite some time. We learned about the project back in June, with expectations the film would debut before the end of 2020.

And today, Apple has confirmed the upcoming animated film will debut in some theaters and on Apple TV+ on December 11, 2020.

Here’s the official description of the film:

In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the WOLFWALKERS and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.

Apple shared the first teaser trailer for the film back in September, but this new trailer shows a lot more of the story and amazing animation:

Wolfwalkers definitely looks like it will be an amazing story to watch. Are you looking forward to this one’s debut later this year?
