Apple this morning rebased an inaugural teaser video for “Wolfwalkers,” an upcoming Apple TV+ animated feature film from Cartoon Saloon featuring unique animation styles.

Set in medieval Ireland, “Wolfwalkers” is about Robyn Goodfellow, who is a daughter of a wolf hunter that gets mixed up with a wild girl, resulting in her turning into a wolf herself—the very creature that her father has been tasked to hunt.

And this is Apple’s description of “Wolfwalkers”:

In a time of superstition and magic, a young apprentice hunter, Robyn Goodfellowe, journeys to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. While exploring the forbidden lands outside the city walls, Robyn befriends a free-spirited girl, Mebh, a member of a mysterious tribe rumored to have the ability to transform into wolves by night. As they search for Mebh’s missing mother, Robyn uncovers a secret that draws her further into the enchanted world of the Wolfwalkers and risks turning into the very thing her father is tasked to destroy.

As we previously explained, Cartoon Saloon’s Tomm Moore, who is one of the directors of the animated film, said the project’s unique animations are meant to showcase both sides in different styles. The people who live in the forest are represented by curves while the townspeople are all straight lines.

“Wolfwalkers” is coming soon to Apple TV+.
