Axon Reborn groups missed notifications on the Lock Screen by app

Longtime jailbreakers will probably remember Priority Hub as one of the best notification-centric jailbreak tweaks of all time. It was so popular that after the original developer stopped maintaining it, iOS developer Nepeta came out with an alternative to Priority Hub dubbed Axon mid-last year that brought with it full-fledged support for pwned iOS 11 and 12 devices.

We entered the age of the jailbroken iOS 13 device a rather long time ago, and as you might come to expect, history tends to repeat itself. With that sentiment in mind, it may be too surprising that Nepeta has released a new and free jailbreak tweak called Axon Reborn with novel support for pwned iOS 13 devices.

As shown in the screenshot example above, Axon Reborn does exactly the same thing that its predecessors do – it takes all missed notifications from all your apps and brings them all into one conveniently compact interface so that you have a better idea about your missed notifications and the apps they’re coming from.

In the above example, you’ll see that there’s one missed call notification, one Apple Music notification, and 13 missed text message notifications. Upon tapping on one of the indicators, you’ll be able to view an unhindered look at that particular app’s missed notifications without having all the rest of your missed notifications tossed into the bunch. Trust us on this one – this kind of notification organization does you wonders.

Once installed, Axon Reborn adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app:

Here, you can:

  • Toggle Axon Reborn on or off on demand
  • Enable haptic feedback for when interacting with the Axon Reborn interface
  • Enable Dark Mode support
  • Choose a preferred interface style:
    • Default
    • Packed
    • Compact
    • Tiny
    • Group
    • Rounded Group
  • Enable vertical mode
  • Choose between the left or right side of the display for vertical mode
  • Choose how notifications will be sorted:
    • By latest
    • By amount
    • By application name
  • Choose the notification that shows by default:
    • Nothing
    • Latest notification
    • First section
    • Selected section
  • Choose a selection style:
    • Add background
    • Dim others
  • Enable badges
  • Show the background
  • Adjust the spacing between icons
  • Choose an alignment:
    • Left
    • Center
    • Right
  • Respring your device to save any changes you make

In a lot of ways, Axon Reborn is just like the original Axon tweak, only with iOS 13 support and a number of additional features. Those interested in trying Axon Reborn out on their jailbroken iOS 13 device can download the tweak for free from Nepeta’s repository via their preferred package manager.
