Apple continues to move right along with its latest beta, preparing developers for the next version of its mobile operating systems.
On Tuesday, Apple seeded the third betas of iOS and iPadOS 13.6 to developers. Apple changed the version number after the first beta, bumping it up to iOS 13.6. Apple did the same thing when it switched to iOS 13.5 earlier this year after initially seeding a different version number. Despite the change, this is a minor update in the grand scheme of things, focusing on behind-the-scenes tweaks and general improvements. While the first developer beta of iOS and iPadOS 13.5.5 did not include any major forward facing features for the end user, the second developer beta did make it possible to save your spot while reading Apple News articles. The prerelease software also includes a new “Symptoms” section within the Health app, and a new toggle for managing automatic download and installation of future software updates.

Registered developers can download and install the first beta of iOS and iPadOS 13.6 right now from the official Apple Developer Center. The required developer profile must be installed to update to the latest beta.
In addition to those betas, Apple has also seeded the third developer betas of macOS 10.15.6 Catalina (which includes a Battery Health management feature), watchOS 6.2.8, and tvOS 13.4.8.
Apple released iOS 13.5 not too long ago. That software brought with it a major new addition to the platform: Exposure Notification that was designed in partnership with Google in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus and COVID-19, the disease it causes. And, last week, the company released iOS 13.5.1 to the public with important security fixes, and was designed to negatively impact the jailbreak community and the Unc0ver jailbreak.
