If you’re in the market for a new case for your iPhone, and want to lean more towards an eco-friendly option, LifeProof has just launched a new lineup for your consideration.
LifeProof just unveiled the brand new WĀKE lineup of eco-friendly cases for the iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max, the brand new iPhone SE, and older models like the iPhone XR, iPhone 8, iPhone 7, and iPhone 6s. These protective accessories are manufactured from salvaged fishing gear, and is constructed from over 85% ocean-based plastics.
The case has a DropProof rating of up to 2 meters, and, as you can see from the image above, features a unique sculpted wave pattern on the back. The case is also wireless charging compatible, so you won’t have to slip it off to wirelessly charge your (supported) iPhone. It’s an ultra-thin design, and a single case, so it’s easy to pop on and off when needed.
LifeProof is also introducing the new LifeCycle program. With this, folks who purchase a WĀKE case can send their accessory back after it reaches its “serviceable life” so LifeProof can actually repurpose the materials to use again. And the company also has a new charitable-giving program as well:
With LifeProof’s new charitable-giving program, LifeProof will donate a dollar to one of three leading water charities with the purchase of every LifeProof case. All the customer needs to do is register their case at lifeproof.com/makewaves. The three charities, Water.org, Coral Reef Alliance and American Rivers, share LifeProof’s vision of a world with clean water for all.
The LifeProof WĀKE case comes in three colors: Down Under (Green/Orange), Black, and Neptune (Blue/Green). They each cost $39.99 and are available to purchase from LifeProof’s website right now. I’ve included links to each model below.
