Apple seeds ninth tvOS 13 beta to developers

Apple this week is seeding the latest beta of tvOS 13 to developers.

On Wednesday, Apple seeded the ninth beta of tvOS 13 to developers, marking the latest release of the prerelease software. It’s likely that tvOS 13 will launch to the public this fall. Before that happens, though, Apple seeds beta versions of the set-top box’s software to allow developers to test their apps, and test the software itself for any major issues.

Updating to the latest tvOS 13 beta involves installing the profile via Xcode.

Unlike the updates to iOS 13 or iPadOS, or even watchOS 6, tvOS 13’s update is relatively minor in scale. However, it does come with new features. That includes multiple profile support. Apple TV owners with tvOS 13 on board will also be able to follow long with lyrics from Apple Music in real-time on the biggest screen in their home.

tvOS 13’s latest beta is available now for developers.
