Hacker and unc0ver lead developer Pwn20wnd has been on quite the roll lately; just yesterday he released unc0ver v2.1.4 to the general public, and he also pushed a bevy of revisions this weekend to the unc0ver v2.2.0 pre-release with bug fixes, performance improvements, and experimental new features. But as it would seem, there’s still more work to be done.
Pwn20wnd shared a Tweet Sunday morning denoting how he’s “actively implementing user requests” to make unc0ver “even better.” The Tweet points to the hacker’s official GitHub repository, where unc0ver users can reach out about problems and feature requests via the Issues tab on the web page:
As you might come to expect, openly welcoming feature requests from the jailbreak community is sure to attract some attention. Pwn20wnd has already started implementing some of those requests, beginning with what now appears to be the thirteenth revision to the unc0ver v2.2.0 pre-release since its initial conception two weeks ago.
According to the changelog published on Pwn20wnd’s GitHub repository, unc0ver v2.2.0 beta 13 comprises of a novel feature that lets users reset the Cydia app’s cache upon request:

When Pwn20wnd released unc0ver v2.1.0 to the masses at the end of 2018, it was touted as the single most significant update to the iOS 11-centric jailbreak tool; however, given the extensive changelog posted for the unc0ver v2.2.0 pre-release thus far, it seems that v2.2.0 will soon bear that title when it’s officially released for production.
At the time of this writing, unc0ver v2.1.4 is the latest public release of the unc0ver jailbreak tool available. The unc0ver v2.2.0 pre-release should be treated as a beta, and you shouldn’t deploy it unless you’re an experienced jailbreaker or developer with basic knowledge about jailbreak-centric troubleshooting steps in case something goes awry.
Both versions of unc0ver (the v2.1.4 public release and the v2.2.0 pre-release) can be had from Pwn20wnd’s official GitHub repository. As always, we’ll keep you updated when v2.2.0 comes out of its pre-release stages.
Unc0ver is a semi-tethered jailbreak just like Electra, which means you must re-run the tool after every reboot. That aside, it bundles a newer iOS 11-optimized build of Cydia that sports the official seal of approval from Saurik.
