Lost in the sea of Black Friday holiday deals and discounts on tons of Mac, iPhone and iPad apps and accessories, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon is now available at no cost through Thursday, courtesy of Apple's ongoing Free App of the Week promotion. That's a savings of $4.99 for the iPhone and iPad download.

In this action-role playing extravaganza, Marvel's cosmic antiheroes face Roman, Nebula and other familiar foes.

The game features cartoonish visuals, familiar characters like Star-Lord, Rocket, Groot, Gamora and Drax, in addition to piles of unlockable ones such as Beta Ray Bill, a story co-written by comic-book scribe Dan Abnett and much more.

I know what you're thinking so I'm happy to report that there are no In-App Purchases in this game and no Internet connection is required to play.

T-Mobile’s Cyber Monday: $100 off 64GB iPhone 6, more iPhone discounts

T-Mobile, the nation's fourth-largest carrier, is taking a cool hundred bucks off the iPhone 6 model with sixty-four gigabytes of storage. That's basically giving you the 64GB iPhone 6 for the price of the 16GB version, a savings of $100 dollars.

The Deutsche Telekom-owned company normally sells the 64GB iPhone 6 model for the full price of $749 (or $99 down plus monthly installments).

And as part of its Cyber Monday deal, T-Mobile is also discounting other iPhone models, including the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.

MuscleNerd vouches for the TaiG iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak

Good news for would be jailbreakers running iOS 8.1.1: MuscleNerd, the famous hacker and one of the leaders of the jailbreak movement, has granted his blessing to the TaiG jailbreak.

As you'll recall, this weekend, TaiG came out of nowhere to release and iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak. As a result, and because relatively little is known about TaiG, many people felt it better to wait before some of the more well-known hackers could take a look at the package.

In a series of tweets, MuscleNerd has vouched for the safety of the TaiG jailbreak, effectively opening the floodgates to the masses. Have a look inside for the details.

Apple Stores turn their logos red in recognition of World AIDS Day

Today is World AIDS Day and Apple's brick and mortar and online stores around the world have tinted their logos red in recognition of the event. In addition, Apple’s online stores are promoting (RED) products, including Apple-brand (RED) accessories such as the $200 Beats headphones, the $49 iPod shuffle and more.

Apple has previously said that 100 percent of proceeds from In-App Purchased and downloads of participating iPhone and iPad apps like Angry Birds and Monument Valley will go to the Global Fund through December 7.

Continuing our simple nature series, including mountains and lakes, the next images feature winter snow and frost. Ending November in the northern hemisphere means winter is coming. This year, it seems winter is arriving more quickly than previous years. Living in the south eastern US, I experienced my first snow in early November.

With Thanksgiving passed and temperatures plummeting, it is time to switch the Lock screen over to match the occasion. For an unknown reason, winter snowy wallpapers are my favorite genre. Consequently, find four wallpaper images below.

In case you were too busy trying to burn the calories you gulped down over Thanksgiving, you might have heard that a new jailbreak for iOS 8.1.1 was released over the weekend. The TaiG jailbreak created the surprise, and to be honest, we're still trying to wrap our heads around this release. But we're not going to complain.

In the meantime, a lot of new jailbreak tweaks were released and updated. Some of them could be considered minor tweaks. Others definitely offer deeper functions. As we've been doing now for a few weeks, we bring you most of these new or updated tweaks in one convenient place so you don't get lost into the mess that Cydia can be when it comes to discovery.

Apple recommends you do not jail-break. Really.

While jailbreaking an iPhone is legal in the US, Apple has always clearly stood against it, warning that it may void your warranty. You can't criticize Apple for this policy because it makes lots of sense. Why would they try to fix an issue if the device is running unauthorized code on it, right?

Reddit user DurianNinja found an interesting paragraph tucked inside Apple's retail store purchase policies that shows what I feel is interesting wording about jailbreaking an iOS device:

How to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1 and iOS 8.1.2 with TaiG

iOS 8.1.1 is now officially jailbroken, and it's one of the easiest jailbreaks that I've experienced in my long history of jailbreaking. As we first noted, the TaiG team, not the Pangu team, is responsible for the iOS 8.1.1 jailbreak, which was released for Windows users early this morning.

I've personally tested out the TaiG jailbreak tool for iOS 8.1.1, and can report that it works. In fact, it installs Cydia straight out of the box, and it's super easy to follow along, even though the tool hasn't been translated to English. In this tutorial, we will show you how to use TaiG to jailbreak iOS 8.1.1.

Update: This tutorial was written for iOS 8.1.1, but you can follow the same directions to jailbreak iOS 8.1.2. Simply make sure you use the latest version of TaiG.
