Sprint Officially Gets the iPhone 4S and iPhone 4

There have been rumors going around for a while that Sprint would be added as a new carrier for the iPhone 4S, and today Apple made this official. Our very own Jeff broke the news before everyone else earlier today, but it's now a done deal.

You'll be able to pre-order or buy the iPhone 4S for Sprint, as of October 7th...

iPhone 4 Drops to $99, iPhone 3GS Now Free

With every new iPhone coming out, older models see a price drop, allowing those of us who don't have $200 to spend on a phone access to some of the best smartphones out there at a reasonable price.

Following the launch of the iPhone 4S, Apple dropped the price of the iPhone 4 to $99. For that price, you only get an 8GB version of the device, but it's still a good deal. If $99 is still too much, you can get the older iPhone 3GS for free. Yes, for free, but with a 2-year contract...

iPhone 4S vs iPhone 4

Even though it looks identical to the iPhone 4, the iPhone 4S is a whole different beast on the inside. With its A5 dual core processor, dual core graphics, improved battery life, a new antenna, and an incredible new camera, the iPhone 4S is without a doubt the best smartphone out there.

But how does it compare to its predecessor, the iPhone 4, and to another world class smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S II?

It’s Coming! Apple Pushes iOS 5 GM

Although it wasn't mentioned during the presentation, Apple just made iOS 5 GM available to developers. This Golden Master update is as close as it gets to the official release of iOS 5, which will happen on October 12th.

You must use iTunes 10.5 beta 7 to install iOS 5 GM seed on your devices as the iOS 5 GM seed is not available via over-the-air software update feature...

Apple Announces New iPhone Models and Official Pricing

Things are just getting wrapped up at Apple's iPhone event. After giving the audience a rundown of its new flagship handset, the iPhone 4S, Phil Schiller (Apple's senior vice president of marketing) started naming off prices.

The new iPhone will remain the same price as previous models. The iPhone 4S starts at $199 for the 16GB, and you'll put down another $100 for the 32GB. And both models are available (of course) in black and white. But that's not all...

Apple Announces Siri, the iPhone 4S Intelligent Assistant

We've been talking about this for quite some time, and today we finally found out what Apple is going to do with its purchase of voice-based artificial intelligence business, Siri. As we'd expected, Siri is now going to be built right into the iPhone 4S, bringing advanced voice control to Apple's newly announced handset.

During today's special iPhone Event, Apple's Scott Forstall showed off a variety of new and interesting ways of talking to your iPhone, with Siri doing the user's bidding as if it was, scarily enough, a real assistant...

Full iPhone 4S Specs Revealed: A5 Processor, Download Speeds That Rival 4G, World Phone, 8MP Camera, 1080P Video

Wow, if anyone was doubting that the iPhone 4S could compete with the latest and greatest crop of smartphones, would you like your crow served scrambled, or over easy?

The specs are ridiculous, and the "S" wholeheartedly lives up to its name by bringing significantly more speed, to the already capable iPhone 4.

On top of the obvious A5 processing speed increase, the 4S actually rivals 4G speeds when it comes to downloads. Not only that, but it features CDMA and GSM capabilities for true world phone functionality...

iPhone 4S Camera Will Rival the Top Point-and-Shoot Models

The iPhone 4 turned out to be one of the world's most popular cameras. It was one of the first smartphones that literally started taking the place of every day point-and-shoot picture-takers.

With the iPhone 4S, Apple is looking to build on that success with its all-new 8MP camera. The sensor is capable of capturing 3264 x 2448 photos — 60% more pixels than the iPhone 4. And there's much, much more...

Apple Announces New iPod Updates

Next Up in Apple's line of announcements today are some minor updates to its iPod line. First we have the iPod Nano, which disappointingly didn't receive the iPhone-accessory makeover we were all hoping for.

But it did get some cool new watch-face animations to compliment the popular watch-band accessories, and it now includes built-in fitness tracking (walk, run, etc.). But the real story here is the iPod touch...
