Following the release of the updated PwnageTool 4.3.2 jailbreak tool, the iPhone Dev Team has also pushed out an update to the UltraSn0w unlock in Cydia.
UltraSn0w 1.2.2 has been released to support the new iOS 4.3.2 firmware, as the previous version of UltraSn0w (1.2.1) was broken in iOS 4.3.2. Please note, this will only work for the older iPhone 4 baseband 1.59.00, and iPhone 3G/3GS basebands 4.26.08, 5.11.07, 5.12.01, 5.13.04, and 6.15.00. It can not unlock newer basebands since there is currently no unlock available.

Just hours after the Dev Team updated RedSn0w, young iPhone hacker iH8Sn0w updated his own jailbreak tool, Sn0wBreeze, to version 2.6. This new version of Sn0wBreeze uses i0n1c’s untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.2.
For those of you that are not aware, Sn0wBreeze is a tool very similar to PwnageTool. Sn0wBreeze, a Windows-only jailbreak, allows you to update to the latest iOS while preserving your baseband, which is necessary if you want to unlock your iPhone.
Sn0wBreeze 2.6 will work for any device that supports iOS 4.3.2, except for the iPad 2… Read More

Like the newest version of RedSn0w, Sn0wBreeze has been updated with custom boot logo animations. Sn0wBreeze 2.5.1 also adds multiple enhancements and options for those wishing to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 on Windows.
Sn0wBreeze 2.5.1’s custom boot logo animation option functions in the same way as GreenPois0n’s. Windows users can perform an untethered jailbreak of iOS 4.3.1 with SnowBreeze. Read More

MuscleNerd has confirmed that UltraSn0w update is coming for iOS 4.3.1 in a few days. The unlock tool has had several bugs and is currently incompatible with several older basebands.
To clarify: the upcoming UltraSn0w update will not unlock any new basebands. The update is meant for current unlockers that wish to update to the latest 4.3.1 jailbreak and keep their unlock. Read More

After much anticipation, the iOS 4.3.1 jailbreak was released early this morning, but I guess the actual time depends on where you live.
This is the first untethered jailbreak solution for iOS 4.3.1. There have been other jailbreaks for iOS 4.3.1 but they were tethered and had issues with stability.
Finally, we have a stable and working iOS 4.3.1 solution; actually we have many solutions, as you’ll see below. Big thanks to @i0n1c for his untether, and the iPhone Dev Team for their hard work at making this a reality… Read More

iH8sn0w has updated his Windows jailbreak tool, called Sn0wBreeze, with the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. Sn0wBreeze is now the third tool available for an untethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1 (alongside PwnageTool and RedSn0w).
Sn0wbreeze 2.5 is hardly different from its last beta, except that is uses i0n1c’s untethered exploit. An added bonus is that the hidden multitouch gestures in iOS 4.3 are enabled with Sn0wBreeze. These gestures were unearthed a couple of months ago, and iH8sn0w has found a way to enable them in his latest jailbreak tool.
Sn0wBreeze is not recommended for those wishing to preserve their unlock. Again, Sn0wBreeze is Windows only. Read More

Stefan Esser, better known as the iPhone hacker i0n1c, has released the untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1. In a recent tweet, i0n1c gave the download link to the latest untethered jailbreak we’ve all been waiting for.
The only catch is that the file is password protected. And i0n1c isn’t giving out the password… Read More

The Windows jailbreak tool, Sn0wbreeze, was recently updated to perform a tethered jailbreak on iOS 4.3.1. We told you about the newest beta release a couple days ago, and many of you have successfully been able to jailbreak your iPhone on 4.3.1.
The biggest downer with the current Sn0wbreeze beta is that it’s a tethered jailbreak, and we’ve recommended holding off on iOS 4.3.1 until an untethered solution is released from the Dev Team.
To our surprise, an iDB reader sent us a video of his iPhone 3GS running an untethered jailbreak after using the latest Sn0wbreeze 2.4b1… Read More

It looks like an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.3.1 might not take as long as people might have thought.
This new video shows off an iPod touch that’s running iOS 4.3.1 with an untethered jailbreak.
If you’re still unsure what the benefits of an untethered jailbreak are, check out this article.
Does this mean that the author will release a jailbreak tool themselves? Well, not exactly, but this is still great news for jailbreakers…
