iPhone 3GS Running iOS 4.2 Jailbroken with Sn0wBreeze

iH8Sn0w, the developer of Sn0wBreeze sent a tweet a few hours ago telling he had successfully jailbroken his iPhone 3GS (old bootrom) running iOS 4.2 beta. Apparently, Cydia, Icy or Rock won’t work though, which is kind of inconvenient and makes the jailbreak useless.

The point is he did manage to jailbreak the new beta release of iOS 4.2

A few hours before iH8Sn0w announced this, some guy going by the name of DinoD7 had posted a video on YouTube showing what seems to be a fully functional jailbroken iPhone 3GS running iOS 4.1.

All this is good news but let me be the party pooper here and remind you that these kinda jailbreaks come with restrictions (ie. iPhone 3GS only with old bootrom that was previously jailbroken with PwnageTool between June 5 and June 6, 2010 at 11.45 am). So while it’s great news, don’t get too excited over it. So far, GreenPois0n remains our best bet.
