Dailymotion Camera 1.0 for iOS (iPhone screenshot 003)

Dailymotion, a French video-sharing website, today released its first video recording application on the App Store. The aptly named Dailymotion Caméra software can be used to capture, edit and share HD clips across Dailymotion’s web, mobile and connected video platforms. Featuring the pause/resume recording functionality, the app also includes the obligatory filters, contrast/brightness controls, is flattened and doesn’t cost a dime. What more could a gentleman ask for?

There are 25 fairly nice video filters to choose from, twice as much as typically found in similar video offerings found on the App Store. Oh, it’ll stabilize your shaky video, too.

The editing tools let you perform basic video manipulations, manage multiple clips and edit/combine them to your heart’s desire. Those who know their way around Apple’s iMovie app should feel right at home in Dailymotion Caméra.

The the pause/resume recording feature is akin to Twitter’s Vine or Facebook’s Instagram Video: you can sequence a series of clips taken from different angles during the recording phase, bypassing post-processing work.

Choose from HD, 16:9 or square format, upload your video onto Dailymotion and share it with friends and family via Facebook and Twitter. Unlike Google’s YouTube Capture and similar apps, there are no restrictions on the video length or the number of uploads in Dailymotion Caméra.

Some of the more important capabilities include:

• Color Adjustment and Filters – 25 unique filter effects, full-scale color and brightness adjustments and stability enhancement allow users to customize videos and improve playback quality.
• Clean and Simple UI – Intuitive interface makes the app easy to use for everyone from first-timers to seasoned veterans of video editing and production.
• Pause Capture – Pause and resume live video recording with the click of a button.
• Social Sharing – Upload videos straight to Dailymotion and share via Facebook and Twitter

It’s a really nicely done app, no question about it.

The only thing missing: export to Camera Roll.

Dailymotion Caméra is free on the App Store..

Those who watch Dailymotion videos a lot may just as well download their official iPhone and iPad client.
