Galaxy Note 7 vs. iPhone 6s real-life speed test proves specs aren’t everything

In spite of running Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit Snapdragon 820 processor with four CPU cores, Adreno 530 graphics and 4GB of RAM, Samsung's latest Galaxy Note 7 phablet delivers embarrassing real-world performance when pitted against almost-a-year-older iPhone 6s and its in-house designed A9 chip with two CPU cores and just 2GB of RAM.

As seen in this side-by-side video comparison from YouTuber PhoneBuff, the iPhone 6s easily beats the latest Note when it comes to loading apps and games, thanks to the combination of efficient iOS software and Apple's custom-designed hardware.

Watch Apple’s ‘Behind the Scenes of iOS Security’ Black Hat presentation

You can now watch Apple's 'Behind the Scenes of iOS Security' presentation from this year's Black Hat Conference in its entirety. A video of the talk, featuring the company's head of security engineering Ivan Krstic, has been posted to the official Black Hat YouTube page.

Apple's presence at the conference was a nice change of pace, as the firm typically skips the event. Krstic covered a wide range of topics, including the technologies his team uses in services like HomeKit and iCloud Keychain that handle exceptionally sensitive user data.

Video walkthrough: changes in beta 6 for iOS 10, macOS Sierra & watchOS 3

As you know, Apple yesterday seeded a sixth beta of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra to its registered developers and public beta testers along with developer-only builds of watchOS 3 and tvOS 10.

As we're now weeks away from their tentative fall release, small wonder the latest betas lack new outward-facing features. Here's Andrew's hands-on video detailing changes in the latest betas of iOS 10, macOS Sierra and watchOS 3.

This music video was shot on iPhone 6s in 13 countries over the course of one month

A troubled teen growing up in the United Kingdom, Shirazee moved to South Africa as a refugee, living there for four years and dabbling in music before signing to Island Records, represented by Universal Music in South Africa.

His debut single, “Different”, is out now on Apple Music and iTunes, with the accompanying music video shot entirely on an iPhone 6s over the course of 31 days in a total of thirteen countries, including the five he has lived in.

After adding support for searching shows from Viacom-owned Comedy Central and music networks MTV and VH1 on the fourth-generation Apple TV a month ago, Apple has recently added Australia's Stan streaming service to the list of providers that support tvOS's universal search feature, as first discovered by MacRumors. Hulu transitions free content to Yahoo View, renews focus on subscriptions

Hulu said today it's phased out its free, ad-suported tier as it refocuses efforts on subscription services. According to Variety, free TV episodes will no longer be available on Hulu, but the current $7.99/$11.99 per month paid tiers won't change. All Hulu content that was available free with ads has moved to Yahoo View, a new service designed for hosting free, ad-supported TV shows from the likes of ABC, NBC, Fox and others.

New video shows off three different iPhone 7 dummies in crisp 4K resolution

I known we've had enough of uninspiring iPhone 7 mockups. Also, dummy iPhone cases like this one are a dime a dozen on Chinese sites like Ali Express as vendors have always been eager to produce rumor-based iPhone housings to gain free press.

That said, the 4K video you're about to see offers a different look at three iPhone 7 dummies—one is 4.7-inch and the other two are 5.5 inches—in line with questionable rumors that Apple could ship two different versions of the larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus.

Storage full: new Google Photos ad is amusing

We were first to tell you about the most recent update to the mobile Google Photos app, which packs in 3D Touch shortcuts on the Home screen whilst highlighting a storage optimization feature. The following day Google published this video, a nice play on the widely criticized problem of entry-level 16GB iPhones having nowhere near the capacity to hold all of the photos people take on their iPhones.

“Because life shouldn’t stop when your phone storage does,” says Google. “Free up space with Google Photos and never run out of storage again.”

Latest drone flyover gives overview of landscaping progress at iSpaceship site

The iPhone maker's upcoming circular-shaped corporate building, Apple Campus 2 aka “iSpaceship”, seems to be coming along nicely as the company pushes the project to meet its self-imposed January 2017 deadline for moving in.

YouTubers Matthew Roberts and Duncan Sinfield have been taking their pricey drones to the skies every month, like clockwork, to keep us updated on construction progress with birds-eye 4K footage.

The most recent drone video from Matthew focuses on landscaping work as other smaller structures are beginning to pop up throughout the campus, with landscaping on the corporate auditorium set to begin shortly.

How to post from your camera roll to your Instagram story

Post iPhone Photos as Instagram Story

When first playing with Instagram Stories, I couldn't figure out how to upload pictures or videos that I had already taken. Instead, it seemed I was forced to first shoot using the Instagram app and upload from there.

Quickly, I finally figured it out, and because it's not that obvious, I thought I should post about it as it may help a few readers wondering the same thing - how do you post from your Camera Roll to an Instagram story?
