Camera For Apple TV – Stream Live Video From Your iPhone to Your TV Using AirPlay

Apple's TV line has been described as "just a hobby." However, strong sales of the company's 2nd iteration of the ATV has kind of changed the dynamics of the product.

AirPlay especially helped the Apple TV2's sales out, along with the device's $99 price tag. There are several apps available that take advantage of Apple's AirPlay feature, but this one probably does it in the most unique way...

Trapped Into an iPhone [Awesome Artsy Video]

Don't you love when geekiness is fueled by creativity? This is exactly what Ronen Verbit's last creation is all about. Ronen is some sort of digital artist with an intense story and an even more intense website which almost got me to have a seizure in front of my iMac.

I don't know how long it took him to put this video together, but you can only agree that it is very well done and entertaining...

Space Shuttle Launch Recorded by iPhone

Stefanie Gordon had no clue that she would soon be internet famous when she boarded a flight from New York to visit her parents in Palm Beach. During descent, the pilot of the commercial airline informed the passengers that they could be witnesses to the space shuttle Endeavour’s last launch.

It turns out that the best camera is the one that's always with you. And in this case, that camera was an iPhone. Who knew the iPhone could shoot a steady video at 15,000 feet from a passing airliner...

Mopho DJ Takes iPhone Music Mixing to the Next Level

There are plenty of applications in the App Store for making your own music on your iDevice. In fact, we reviewed a great one on iDB called djay by Algoriddim earlier this year.

But if you've been looking for a way to use your iPhone to create music in a way that's not quite so conventional, you've got to check out this concept that Stanford Researcher Nick Brian has come up with...

iPad Survives Getting Run Over by a Car, Thanks to Extreme Sleeve

Remember that iPad case that we showed you earlier this year called the Extreme Sleeve? Let me give you a quick reminder. G-Form, a company well known for their extreme sports protective gear has ventured into the portable electronic arena. They have made protective gear for MacBooks and other laptops, and they now have one for the iPad.

Their G-Form Extreme Sleeve has been grabbing headlines over the last few months, as the G-Form team has gone through great lengths to prove its durability. They've dropped bowling balls on their Extreme Sleeve-covered iPads and have even dropped one out of an airplane. Each time the iPad has emerged unharmed.

When we previously reported on the product it was not available yet, but it promised to start shipping May 2nd of this year. Well it looks like the Extreme Sleeve is starting to make its way to user's hands, as a new video from Mobile Syrup puts the Sleeve through its own durability test. Is the Extreme Sleeve tough enough to protect an iPad from being run over by a car? Let's watch.

Though the video stops playing, the iPad appears to be just fine. Now that these G-Form Extreme Sleeves are available to the masses, I'm guessing this isn't the last we've seen of these extreme iPad survival videos. I'm sure G-Form is loving the free viral advertising.

New iPhone Caught on Video

This is an exclusive news - exclusively funny of course - that we are sharing with you today. After months or rumors and speculations, we finally got our hands on the next iPhone. Against all odds, Apple's next smartphone will not be called the iPhone 4S as we suggested yesterday, but simply the iPhone 5.

If you guys are wondering, no, we didn't find this iPhone in a bar, neither did we buy it from someone...

Hot Shoe Holder Puts Your iPhone 4 and Your DSLR on the Same Team

Being an avid photographer and cameraman, I was pretty excited when the opportunity to review the Hot Shoe Holder presented itself.

For those of you who aren't camera geeks, the hot shoe is that little metal plate that sits on top of a camera. It's used to mount peripherals (mainly flashes), and while you won't normally find them on point and shoot cameras, they're staples for DSLRs.

That brings us to the Hot Shoe Holder, a small plastic iPhone 4 holder that allows you to mount your iPhone onto your camera's hot shoe.

If you're into photography, no-doubt your wheels are already spinning at the possibilities, while non-camera folks might start scratching their heads.

Why would you want to mount an iPhone 4 on top of a camera? Folks, the possibilities are almost limitless...

If You Don’t Have an iPhone… Good! In Your Face [NSFW]

Apple has started running a new series of commercials that all play off the tagline, "If you don't have an iPhone..."

It's no secret that Apple's new ads are a bit prideful. The tone of the voice-overs is boastful and almost snarky. Apple has clearly succeeded with the iPhone, and now they're rubbing it in.

For a look at what Apple really means by these ads, check out this parody video...

The Olloclip is a Multi-Purpose Clip-on Lens for Your iPhone

It's no secret that the iPhone is the most popular camera in the world. The new iPhone 4's 5 MP shooter is pretty solid when it comes to mobile phone cameras, but unlike standalone picture-takers, it doesn't have many options to tweak. There's no white balance or shutter settings, and no interchangeable lenses.

Patrick O'Neil and Chong Pak are looking to change that with their olloclip accessory. The tiny lens just slides on your iPhone 4, instantly giving you the ability to shoot fisheye, wide angle, and macro photos...

Adobe Launches Photoshop Extension Apps for the iPad

Adobe revealed their new Creative Suite 5.5 last week alongside their Photoshop Touch SDK. This was significant because with the new SDK, came a scripting engine that allows developers to make their own applications to interact with Photoshop. While the platform also supports Android and Blackberry Tablet OS, Adobe has chosen the iPad to debut their own Photoshop apps.

These 3 software titles are an extension of Adobe Photoshop, and not intended for stand alone use. The prices range from $2 to $5 and require Adobe PhotoShop CS5, version 12.0.4. Here is a brief breakdown of the 3 apps, courtesy of AppleInsider:

Adobe Eazel - This $4.99 app allows you to create your own masterpieces with Apple's tablet, and lets you quickly share your creation with Photoshop for further editing.

Adobe Color Lava - For $2.99, you can download this app that lets you use your fingertips to mix your own colors on the iPad, creating custom color swatches and themes for use in Photoshop.

Adobe Nav - At $1.99 this might actually be worth the price. This neat little app gives you intuitive controls of Photoshop tools on your iPad. Quickly switch between projects, zoom in, and adjust all kinds of Photoshop settings, right from your tablet.

I don't use Photoshop frequently enough to justify purchasing any of these applications, but for someone who uses it on a daily basis, they could be lifesavers. I really like the idea of being able to adjust Photoshop settings quickly from the iPad, maybe we'll see this in other software suites like MS Office.

What do you think? Have you downloaded any of the Photoshop apps?

Apple to Announce Nuance Partnership at WWDC, Expect Big Things

Most of you have heard by now that Apple and Nuance have been meeting behind closed doors. They have reportedly been discussing the possibility of serious integration with Nuance's voice recognition technology in iOS 5.

Hot on the heels of their report that Apple was in serious negotiations with speech-recognition software giant, TechCrunch revealed more details surrounding the deal. Apparently, the tech blog has some reliable sources with knowledge of the relationship between the 2 tech companies...
