Get Instagram’s new flat UI redesign now with this jailbreak tweak

Earlier this week, we had shared with you what appears to be a redesign for the Instagram app for iPhone that may soon be rolled out to all users.

The new interface utilizes an iOS 9-esque flatter design with white UI elements and black button highlights.

However, if you're jailbroken, then you don't have to wait to unlock this new interface for yourself right now. There's a new jailbreak tweak in Cydia called IGExperiments that will let you do this, and more.

Palert brings tvOS-inspired notification alerts to iOS

The Apple TV 4 has a completely new operating system called tvOS, which sits right alongside OS X, iOS, and watchOS in Apple's operating systems.

One of the nice parts about tvOS is the design of the alerts and notifications. In fact, iOS developer Robin Vekety (@Integeritis) thought it would be a cool idea to port the new alert style over to the iOS experience for those with jailbroken devices.

Apple Watch UI tweak Aeternum now available in Cydia

Aeternum, a jailbreak tweak that mimics the Apple Watch UI on iPhone is now available for download in Cydia. Developed by SpiritOfLogic, Aeternum has received Jeff's praises as he called it the best looking and best functioning Apple Watch UI-inspired tweak so far.

As highlighted in our recent preview, Aeternum comes with features you might expect from such a tweak. More specifically, it allows you to disable or enable the dock, and rearrange icons to your liking. But maybe more importantly, the tweak uses clean and smooth in and out animations when launching apps.

Apple invention lets you change brightness of UI elements independently of content

Although Apple already permits owners of Mac, iPhone, iPod and iPad devices to adjust the user interface in a global way, a newly-published patent application describes how certain elements of the UI could be adapted. The application details a method to filter certain areas of the user interface, permitting users to adjust certain areas of the interface while leaving other locations untouched.
