Buy More Tones. That's an order. At least that's what Apple's saying in iOS 4.3 GM.

I've always despised the fact that people continue to buy ringtones via iTunes, keeping it relevant. It's so easy to make them yourself, why would anyone pay a dollar to download a snippet of a song they most likely already own?

Personal bias aside, there's no doubt that ringtones are a big money maker these days, though it must not be bringing in enough coin to satisfy Apple -- going by the verbiage contained in iOS 4.3 GM...

Have you ever misplaced your phone? I think it's safe to say we all have at one point. I know I've wasted time more than once while scrambling through my room trying to find my iPhone.

Usually I have to try and find another phone to call my own so that I can hear my ringtone. But what about the instances when another phone is not available and you really need to find your iPhone?

I love the iPhone. Really I do. I love most everything about it. Most. But like any other iDevice geek, I have found some less than desirable aspects of the iPhone, namely tone alerts.

Imagine walking into a crowded coffee shop. Now imagine someone with their iPhone volume turned all the way up and that particular someone receives an SMS. With the default SMS [tri-tone] sound, odds are some owners of iPhones in the coffee shop will glance at their screen to verify whether it's them or not. In a nutshell, every stock iPhone on the planet has the same tri-tone sound when it comes SMS. Boring huh?

Now that we have a jailbreak for our iPhones again I have been pouring through the selections to see what I really want on my iPhone 4 and one of my biggest items is ringtones. Most everyone loves to customize their device and what better way to make it truly unique than to add your own selection of ringtones.

Cydia's ringtone subsection is pretty extensive with many songs, sound effects and TV show themes to choose from and download right into your primary system ring tone list...

I get many offers from websites to do paid reviews of their services but I rarely (if ever) do it because I usually don't think the site is good enough to share with you.
