Notifications

ColorMeBaddge can be used to colorize your Home screen’s notification badges

On any stock installation of iOS, every one of your notification badges are going to be red and contain white-colored text that usually indicates the number of missed notifications in the app. To me, that seems a little boring, and a developer named midey seems to agree, as he’s just released a new free jailbreak tweak called ColorMeBaddge.

With this tweak, you can colorize all of your Home screen’s notification badges in pretty much any way you choose, but the best feature is being able to automatically colorize your notification badges based on the dominant color of the application icon in question.

Unify consolidates your iOS notifications for a cleaner look

If you’re one to wake up to a ton of notifications every morning, or even if you’re a popular person during the day, then sorting through all of the notifications on your Lock screen can be nothing short of what feels like a full-time job.

Of course, a new jailbreak tweak called Unify by SpiritOfLogic helps simplify your notifications by unifying them into groups on the Lock screen and in Notification Center.

This tweak prevents people who text you like this from blowing up your phone with notifications

We all have that one friend that can’t consolidate all of their text messages into one neat message. Instead, they are apt to send multiple messages, one after the other, in order to complete just one sentence.

While the sender may not realize it, this is very annoying for anyone on the receiving end, as their iPhone will just repeatedly ‘ding’ and ‘buzz’ all over the place, and that’s why iOS developer Hrvoje Kostic made a new jailbreak tweak called DoNotAnnoy.

This tweak makes iOS 10 notifications more bearable for minimalists

Being able to customize and theme your device’s look and feel to your own liking is one of the top reasons why people jailbreak their iPhone or iPad in the first place, and a new free jailbreak tweak called CleanNotifications10 is a testament to that.

Developed by AppleBetasDev, this tweak essentially cleans up the look of your incoming Notifications on both the Lock screen and in Notification Center by getting rid of the two-tone color scheme and making them look simpler with a softer, monotonous transparency.

Viber rolls out auto-vanishing messages, instant video messages, rich notifications & more

Messaging service Viber today announced it is launching a new Secret Messages feature along with other improvements. Viber 6.6 for iOS now lets you send photos and videos that self-destruct after they've been seen. The app now supports iOS 10's rich notifications letting you press a Viber alert with 3D Touch to see the contents of your chats. You can send media as files and create short video messages, too, in the latest edition of Viber for iPhone.

AdaptiveColorAlerts colorizes all your alert messages to match anything behind them

Most people use banner notifications for their day-to-day notifications, but some apps like Calendar and Reminders default to alert-style notifications because they require a little bit of extra attention.

For the most part, these alert messages look pretty boring on a stock iOS device, but with a new free jailbreak tweak release called AdaptiveColorAlerts, your alerts can automatically color themselves based on whatever background is residing behind them.

Deliveries gains full iOS 10/watchOS 3 support & many new features in latest update

Deliveries, my favorite package tracker for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch, received a major update on the App Store this morning. Bumped to version 8.0, Deliveries is now fully compatible with iOS 10 and watchOS 3 and supports many new iOS 10 features, from rich notifications and haptic feedback to a reworked widget, deeper 3D Touch support, faster background updating for the Deliveries widget and its Apple Watch app, improved suggestions when you add a delivery, an iMessage sticker pack and more.

Notifications10 brings iOS 10 style notification banners to jailbroken devices

A ton of people are sticking with their jailbroken iOS 9 devices, but are drooling over the new features and interface changes in iOS 10. Fortunately, a new jailbreak tweak called Notifications10 can help bring some of the iOS 10 look and feel to your jailbroken iPhone.

Notifications10, as the name suggests, brings iOS 10-style notification bubbles and banners to your jailbroken iOS 9 device.

Twitter for iPhone and iPad gains support for rich notifications on iOS 10

Twitter for iPhone and iPad, a free download from the App Store, now supports rich notifications on iOS 10 that come complete with embedded images and the usual options for interacting with tweets without having to open the app.

Pressing a rich Twitter notification on the Lock screen or in the Notification Center with 3D Touch pulls up an expanded view of the tweet with an enlarged image thumbnail, along with the usual options such as Like and Retweet.
