LG Display will jack up investment on next-generation mobile screens based on Organic Light-Emitting Diode (OLED) technology as its top customer Apple Inc. prepares to adopt these ultra-thin, power-saving screens for iPhones “as early as 2017,” Bloomberg reported Wednesday.
Better late than never: 3D Touch gestures are now available within the free mobile Messenger app from Facebook. Last month, a batch of photographs out of China claiming to depict a Lightning-based version of Apple’s standard EarPods headphones left us scratching our head due to the product's sketchy appearance. But now, French blog NowhereElse.fr points us to another set of leaked images, originally posted on the Chinese social network Weibo, that ostensibly show off a fully assembled EarPods headphones with a Lightning connector.

Speaking of lawsuits, a Dutch court has reportedly ruled in favor of a woman who took it upon herself to drag Apple to court over offering to replace her damaged iPhone 6 Plus with a refurbished rather than a brand new handset. This is Apple's standard policy in many markets, including where I live.

Apple has donated one million dollars to help China's flood relief efforts, USA Today reported yesterday. The 1.33 billion people country was recently hit by the worst flooding in years. The Cupertino firm is the first United States corporation that has donated to the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) in this year’s flood, said the organization on its website.
The industry-standard 3.5mm headphone jack may not be the only widely-used feature that is thought to be on the chopping block for the next iPhone. A new batch of high-resolution photographs that surfaced last evening appear to show off a larger 5.5-inch iPhone 7 Plus model that doesn't seem to have the Mute switch on its side.

It looks like iOS 10 may not be the only Apple operating system to include dark interface assets as Mac developer Guilherme Rambo tweeted out a number of screenshots showing a dark interface theme in several stock applications on macOS Sierra, including Safari and System Preferences.
This mode is different in appearance than macOS's existing setting for enabling dark menu bar and the Dock in System Preferences → General.
