Forcy adds 3D Touch-inspired gestures to all iOS 9 devices

Forcy is a brand new jailbreak tweak, one of the first newly created tweaks for the iOS 9 jailbreak, that allows you to enable 3D Touch-inspired gestures on any iOS 9 device. The gestures, which are impressively similar to what you'd find on 3D Touch-enabled devices like the iPhone 6s, allow you to take advantage of the Home screen app icon shortcuts made popular on Apple's most recently released iPhone hardware.

Forcy is available right now for free on Cydia's BigBoss repo. Have a look at our video walkthrough to see how it works.

iOS 9 jailbreak tweaks compatibility list

Most of us were taken by surprise by the release of the Pangu iOS 9 jailbreak yesterday, and although this is exciting news, there are still some things to keep in mind at this time, such as the fact that many tweaks won't be working right off the bat.

The good news is, Cydia Substrate has been updated for iOS 9. The bad news is, your favorite tweak might not have been yet. Fortunately, the community has once again come together and is working on an iOS 9 jailbreak tweaks compatibility list to help identify what tweaks are currently working and what tweaks aren't.

Cydia Substrate has been updated for iOS 9, but many jailbreak tweaks still won’t work yet

It looks like saurik must have been in the know about the iOS 9 jailbreak, because it comes updated to work with iOS 9 post-jailbreak. As saurik states in the Cydia Substrate change log, version 0.9.6000 brings about significant changes to the package to make it play nice with iOS 9.

The fact that Cydia has been updated immediately is great news for jailbreakers. It means that you don't have to jump through any hoops in order to get Cydia working on your device right after the jailbreak.

With that established, some of you may still deem it best to hold off for a while. That's because there simply aren't many tweaks available that work with iOS 9 yet...

Mimoji tweak lets you establish favorite emojis and default skin color

Mimoji is a well-designed jailbreak tweak that affords users several customization options related to emoji. First and foremost, users are allowed to establish favorite emoji, which can be selected from all available emoji. Secondly, Mimoji lets users select a default skin color for 'human' emojis. If you're a frequent emoji user and you happen to have a jailbroken iPhone, then Mimoji is certainly worth checking out.

BatteryIcon tweak brings a battery indicator icon to the Home screen

BatteryIcon is a recently released jailbreak tweak that brings a battery-level-displaying shortcut icon to the Home screen. The icon itself lends you an approximation of current battery life, and the shortcut links directly to the Battery Usage section of the Settings app.

Like the stock Clock app, BatteryIcon is a "live" icon in that it updates dynamically to show the current battery level via a battery glyph and the color (low battery shows a red color) of the icon itself. Due to this, you're able to quickly glance at the main portion of the Home screen for a quick indication of how your battery is doing.

Tweaks of the week: BatteryIcon, Mimoji, More Recent, and more

Just when you thought the jailbreak community was being hit by a tweaks drought, developers come out of nowhere to prove me wrong. For instance, jailbreak developer Creatix is responsible for the launch of no less than four tweaks this past week, and although they won't revolutionize the way you use your iPhone, they certainly will make your life a bit easier.

Kudos to all these devs who are still releasing new tweaks. You guys keep up the good work!
