Concept: dual-camera iPhone 7 Plus and pink iPhone 5se with iPhone 6-style design

The rumor-mill cannot agree whether a rumored ‘iPhone 5se’ is going to feature a refined iPhone 5s design or an iPhone 6-style look with smoothly rounded corners and curved screen edges.

Be that as it may, German magazine Curved.de has taken upon itself to envision what the iPhone 5se might look like should Apple streamline its handset lineup around the current iPhone 6/6s look and feel.

As a bonus, they’ve also done some intriguing renditions of what a next-generation ‘iPhone 7’ and a dual-camera ‘iPhone 7 Plus’ might look like, based on the rumors that have been floating around. Check out the images and tell us what you think in the comments.

Concept imagines Apple Watch OS running on an iPhone 6

Apple’s announcements of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus this week were largely expected, but the real surprises of the keynote came from the Apple Watch, a wearable device with a custom-designed OS. With a home screen filled with a honeycomb-like grid of circular icons and navigated largely by zooming, the Apple Watch is different from anything we’ve seen from Apple in the past.

Following the announcement, Andras Horvath has posted a concept video to his channel imagining what the iPhone 6 would be like if it ran the software found on the Apple Watch. The result is an interface that is surprisingly pleasant and intuitive. Browsing through apps in this manner seems perhaps more appealing than the standard home screen layout of iOS.

This iPhone 6 concept may be the best yet

With the iPhone 6 expected to get one of its largest redesigns ever, designers have spent the last year creating concepts of what they believe the handset will look like. Some of them would probably be better suited for a science fiction novel, but others have looked fairly plausible.

This latest concept from well-known designer Martin Hajek may be one of the most realistic we’ve ever seen. Based on leaked parts, physical mockups and rumors from multiple tech outlets, Hajek has laid out his vision for the iPhone 6 right down to the circuits on the logic board…

New concept imagines iPhone 6 without ugly antenna lines

I’m sure most of you are as tired of iPhone 6 concepts as I am—between rumors of a redesign and the constant barrage of part leaks, designers have had more to work with than years past—but these new mockups from Thomas Moyano and Nicolas Aichino are worth noting.
The images depict Apple’s handset with all of the rumored hardware changes, including the thinner profile, rounded edges and relocated Power button. But there’s one major difference between this design and all of the others we’ve seen thus far: no ugly antenna break lines…

New iPhone 6 mockups based on leaked case dimensions and other intel

Well-known designer and concept artist Martin Hajek has teamed up with the folks over at Nowhereelse.fr to create what could be the most accurate iPhone 6 renderings to date. The mockups show a device that was created based on recent information, including MacFan’s schematic drawing from last month, and this week’s case leak.
For the most part, the renderings match up with everything we’ve seen thus far regarding Apple’s next smartphone. Hajek depicts the iPhone 6 as extremely thin, with rounded corners, and a display that’s noticeably larger than current models. It also features a new Sleep/Wake button, which has been moved to the right side of the handset…

New iPhone 6 renderings based on alleged leaked schematics

A little over a week ago, Japanese magazine MacFan published alleged schematics for a 4.7-inch and 5.7-inch iPhone 6. We called the drawings ‘sketchy,’ as they depicted a round iSight flash (instead of pill-shaped) and other oddities, but many of the details matched up with previous information.

With that in mind, MacRumors commissioned designer Ferry Passchier to create some full product renderings of the two iPhone 6 models, based on the schematics, in an effort to bring the black and white sketches to life. And we must say, the outcome is one (or two) good-looking smartphone…

Plausible renderings depict ultra-thin iPhone 6 with sapphire glass backing

A new batch of renderings depicting Apple’s next iPhone is making the rounds on the web this morning, and with a good reason. French blog NowhereElse has teamed up with prolific 3D artist Martin Hajek to envision what the iPhone 6 could look like.

But rather than pull specs out of thin air to justify impossible or downright stupid features, the renderings are actually based upon the leaked schematics of a 4.7 and 5.5-inch iPhone form factor discovered by Japanese blog Macotakara.

In my personal opinion, these are the most compelling, most plausible iPhone 6 mockups to date. Jump past the fold to have a look at them and then chime in with your thoughts in the comments…

New concept takes realistic approach in visualizing next iPhone

In a world where iPhone concepts typically feature radical case designs and edge-to-edge displays, Sam Beckett’s new ‘iPhone Air’ concept stands out. It’s not flashy, it’s not paper-thin, it’s just an honest attempt to visualize what Apple’s next smartphone could look like.

The handset bears an obvious resemblance to previous iPhones, but the classic design still looks great stretched out across the larger body. In line with recent rumors, Beckett has given his concept a 4.7-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080, and a beefy ppi of 468…

This nicely done concept video depicts just how thin a bigger iPhone could get

Many designers who take a crack at envisioning Apple’s rumored five-inch iPhone make a rookie mistake by focusing on the screen instead of the engineering benefits stemming from a larger form factor. As is its wont, Apple has a penchant for advertising each new iPhone as being thinner and lighter than the previous one. The bigger iPhones are thought to be coming because the credulous Wall Street Journal said so last month.

Now, assuming one of the bigger iPhones will in fact incorporate a screen measuring more than five inches diagonally, Jony Ive and his design team could easily make the iPhone 6 thinner just because a larger form factor would allow some more space for internal components.

An interesting video concept by Dutch-based 3D artist Joseph Farahi of OvalPicture, created exclusively for the ConceptsiPhone YouTube channel, gives us some food for though. I’ve included it right after the break so give it a look and meet us in comments afterwards…

This sweet iPhone 6 concept is definitely worth checking out…

We’ve run a few iPhone 6 concepts here on iDownloadBlog, but none has captured our attention like the newest work by Italy’s established 3D artist Federico Ciccarese who took a crack at envisioning what a large-screened iPhone could look like. Like most mockups, this is one concept that Apple most likely will never make, probably.

Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean a guy can’t dream, no? With that in mind, do take a look at Federico’s latest batch of iPhone 6 mockups and then chime in with your thoughts down in the comments…

Concept video imagines what the iPhone 6 could be

Things have started to get out of hand very quickly with iPhone concepts over the last few months, so we decided to slow down our coverage of them. As a matter of fact, I don’t believe we’ve published one iPhone concept since last June.

Today we’re making an exception for this iPhone 6 concept by Arthur Reis…
